Save your money. Spend the extra cash and go to a better theater like the one in the mall down in strongsville. It's cheap but you get what you pay for. Disgusting kids will bang on your chair, cry, and talk super loud throughout the whole movie. I've tried this theater multiple times hoping for a better experience and never have a good time. And to make it even better the staff seems to disappear at night. Couldn't spot a single staff member after or halfway through our movie in the "lobby" area. I understand understaffing and all but shouldn't someone at least be out there in case there is a disturbance in a theater and someone won't listen when you ask them to politely be quiet? I kid you not in the theater I went to there was what sounded like a baby or someone no older than 4 years old crying throughout the movie randomly and the parent seemed to not care. It went on and off and no one did anything about it. And behind me these group of young kids (who didn't seem to have any parent with them) WOULD NOT stop talking loudly! It was ridiculous I tried to not say anything as they were kids but after an hour of non stop "who's that?" And "dude pass the popcorn" I shushed them to which they just talked more about! Apparently no staff was outside when I went to look a staff member for assistance in asking them to kindly be quiet. On top of that this kids hands and legs kept banging on me and my friends seat. She even told me it felt like they splashed water on her. Not sure if intentional or not but it was a horrible experience. Not...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience, ordered a ticket online and arrived to find people in my seats that were super nasty and threatened violence over the seats. Ended up in some other empty recliner seat which was busted. Rest of audience was incredibly trashy. Children screaming and running around, people yelling over the movie about how they find black people so annoying since the movie I was seeing was Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. A dude literally crapped their pants at one point and yelled "That's a delicious one right there folks". As for the condition of the theater. There was a recliner chair in a broken heap in the walkway. Screen quality was garbage as it was super blurry and color was washed out. Doors to the brightly lit hall were open so it was barely dark in the theater. To make matters even more comical a speaker broke towards the end of the film and was making messed up car muffler sounds. As for concessions the prices were great. Drinks were good size and soda selection was solid. The candy selection was nice as well. But, the popcorn was stale and seemed to be bought pre-popped in bulk. The staff was also super nice and professional for a bunch of highschool kids. Some renovations are in order to make this place better but I'm sure the trailer park audience will always ruin the experience regardless. Just go to the cinemark down the street. It's only like...
Read moreWe have been going to Hickory Ridge 4-5 times a year for the past few years and it’s always been ok but yesterday was terrible. Some of the employees know how to treat customers and some do not. One guy walked out from the back, saw us at the snack counter, made eye contact with us and then turned around and went back in, not acknowledging us at all. We waited for a while then a girl came out. She looked at me like I had 3 heads just for asking for something else to put my popcorn in after my son got butter all over the outside of the popcorn bag. She didn’t speak a word to me just stared at me like I was dumb. She didn’t even respond when I thanked her after she finally handed me something. Some of the people working almost seemed offended that they had customers that wanted to spend money on concessions and that they’d have to interact with customers as a result. It was just a really weird vibe at almost every interaction. I tend to give positive google reviews when I’m happy with a business and I don’t tend to give negative reviews but I am beyond irritated with experience we had yesterday. I think I’ll spend my money at Medina...
