I went into Kay’s on a Saturday evening (about an hour until closing time) to pick-up a couple of my rings that I had sent off to be serviced. As I was waiting for the salesperson to get my rings, I was doing some window shopping when Michael (aka Mike) brought my jewelry out. There had been a couple of items that had caught my eye while I was browsing, so I asked Mike to show them to me.
What I experienced was an outstanding customer service interaction. Mike is a professional, yet personable young man who is extremely knowledgable about the products he sells. He took the time to answer my questions, he shared his knowledge with me, and he remained patient and engaged throughout the entire experience.
While Mike was working with me our conversation was light and easy. I never felt pressured to buy anything - actually I had not even considered buying anything as I was simply there to pick up my repaired jewelry. Yes, I did end up purchasing a couple of pieces and Kay’s jeweler’s may want to increase Mike’s commission percentage as he was a huge part of the reason why!!
It was due to Mike’s nonjudgmental, friendly, and easygoing personality that quickly got me engaged and kept me interested in the pieces I was looking at. It was due to this professional, yet personable interaction that kept me practical, realistic, and comfortable, to the point, that I decided to treat myself to a beautiful selection that I have been wanting to purchase for some time.

Read moreIt was such a nice experience to do business with the local Kay Jewelers in Brunswick. The associate Michael McGee was very helpful, as he took the time to show me some wedding bands, as an anniversary gift for my husband. We had a pleasant conversation and later realized we had a previous connection, as I had been his Bus Driver when he was in Elementary School, what a sweet reconnect. He has grown up to be such a nice, respectful young man, as he was just as nice back then. However, I couldn't make a decision before leaving, so he offered to leave it in the Wishlist, and said, "when you come back later, you can decide." A few days later I returned, mind made up, and Ms. Beatrice/Manager completed the transaction, as Michael was off that day, but with the same level of professionalism and kindness as Michael, as I could see that Michael had been trained by Ms. Beatrice to be kind to the customers who come into the store, as they both were very helpful during the whole process. She gave explanations of the different styles, materials, and features on rings. I was comfortable that I was not going to make wrong decesion through her guidance. There were a few hiccups, but the personnel at Kay’s Jeweler were polite, professional and focused on making me happy. They went out of their way to ensure that I had no issues at all and that whatever the final products would be, they would be what I had requested.
