I booked as a onesome. I arrived early and found out there were two timeslots open with zero people registered to play in either of them. I asked if I could take one of those timeslots as I like to play quickly, and preferably, by myself. They said they do no allow that. However, minutes later, I watched someone walk in by himself without a tee time and tee off alone as a onesome. It was almost as if I was being penalized for following the course's protocol and booking a tee time in advance. I thought it was an interesting way to run a business, but as the morning went on, I quickly came to realize incompetence was standard operating procedure for this business.

I was paired with two very slow golfers that seemed fairly new to the game and didn't fully understand golf etiquette, which made for a slow round. Eventually, the ranger came up to us and said we need to pick up the pace. Hmmmm, I thought to myself, I wonder if there was any way the course could have prevented this? Maybe, and I am just spitballing here, they could have allowed me to tee off early as a onesome in one of the vacant timeslots available as I had suggested earlier? Surely reducing my threesome down to a twosome would allow them to play a bit faster. I suppose I must be a rocket scientist for having this foresight, and, unfortunately, the starter and the people in the pro shop were clearly a few cards short of a full deck.

At the conclusion of my round, and despite my previous frustrations, I wanted a bag tag to remember the beautiful course. I could not find any in the pro shop, so I asked an employee if, perhaps, I was simply missing it. He went back into their storage room and brought out a very nice bag tag that was $17. "Sold," I told him! He then went on to say he can't sell me the bag tag because they have not been entered into their point-of-sale system. I pulled out a $20 and said just keep the change, place the $20 next to the register, and run it through as counter sale once they get it into the system. "No can do," he said. I proceeded to pull out another $20 and asked if they would ship it to me once it is entered into the system. Nope! I was told that was "too much work." Wow! Is it too much work, or are you just too lazy, I wondered (spoiler alert: it is the latter).

In conclusion, there are dozens of great courses in a stones-throw distance from this one. Although the course itself is nice, don't give these unprofessional, lazy, smooth-brains your...

I Do NOT recommend having your wedding here. Let me start off by saying, the food and the view was amazing. But that's it. I had continued to be patient but it was just one thing after the next. The communication and customer service was the worst I have ever had. We spent way too much to much money for them to be extremely unorganized and provide terrible service. Several times we had been given the wrong balance of how much we still owed on the venue. FOUR times they told us we owed way more than what we actually did. Luckily I kept every single receipt for this purpose! The plan from the start was to use chifarri chairs and they didn't tell us that was an extra charge until two nights before the wedding and also stated over text "those chairs are an extra $150, if you don't get back to me tonight I will just charge your account". Super unprofessional. The coordinator of that day also started sending people to walk down the aisle without communicating with the deejay so for awhile there was no music. Several times I had emailed questions I had and didn't get responses until weeks later. Also several calls had been made and they said they would get back to us and never did. We had called the owner because we were so tired of the lack of organization, they also didn't get back to us. We had several things "go missing". The thing that upset me the most was we had a custom sign made with our last name and wedding date valued at $100 and they "don't know where it is". Terrible. I highly do not recommend having your wedding here. There are at least 20 things that went wrong at the wedding and I still have not complained about them because I feel like an apology will not be said and Verrado Golf Club has not reached out to us about our experience there. It shows how there management is run & how unprofessional it is. I am now writing this review because the wedding coordinator (Karie) has talked to multiple people about our wedding to close friends of ours. We spent thousands of $$$ there and it is not worth your time. It is beautiful at sunset & the ceremony was great but everything after that went downhill.. Karie left early not even finishing what was left of the contract that was signed. As the bride and my husband being busy we didn't get to try the cake because we were picking up the pieces of the rest of the celebration. At the end of the night I asked the staff can I take the rest of the cake home (which there was more than 2 tiers left of the cake), they said, "we threw it away".
