I hate to leave a such a poor review but I really feel that is was earned. In 2024 I brought in a 10k white gold necklace with diamonds. I know it was 10k because the woman behind the counter read the stamp to me. I wanted the necklace fixed, I had snagged it while taking off a sweater. When I got it back the stamp had been removed. I don't understand why something so important would be removed. The reason for this review is because of what happened a couple months later (also in 2024). I brought the necklace in again to get it shortened. Before takin the necklace the lady behind the counter tested the diamonds to see if they were real and the diamond tester registered them as NOT DIAMONDS. I felt absolutely sick. This necklace was sold to my mother as a gold and diamond necklace and now I was thinking either she was ripped off or the necklace (which is very generic looking) got switched the last time I was there. Neither situation makes sense and I hate to think ill of people. But the stamp for the metal was removed so I couldn't tell if it wasn't silver with CZs now. Eventually my mother took it to another jeweler who confirmed that the DIAMONDS WERE REAL... It hadn't occurred to me that the people at Fred Meyer Jewelers wouldn't know how to correctly use a diamond tester. I am happy with how this ended but I felt sick and confused for months over this whenever I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy FiancĆ© and I went to the Jewelry shop after losing the original ring (it was too big and it was New Year's, too much happening) and he says "We're only planning to do this once, so it makes sense to get exactly what we want". He also reassured that the first ring was just a simple one he picked up last year, just to be able to propose. The Jeweler was very patient and reassured that I was doing fine whenever I got flustered, and after a few moments I chose this beautiful halo ring. I am so excited to finally have an engagement ring I actually can enjoy and be proud to show people š» (my previous engagement was with a minimalist white gold ring, no diamonds!)
The Jeweler happened to be the Manager (Tom Dorsey) and he was extremely personable. He told us about a Japanese venue out in Tacoma, and we happen to really love Japanese culture and practice our Japanese daily! Very excited to check out the venue for our cozy wedding in the Spring.
Fred Meyer Jewelers is easily a one stop shop for all my jewelry needs, I have many pieces from here. I love how smooth the warranty is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am delighted with the workmanship, customer service and value for the work done on 3 rings. I was a little nervous about leaving my diamond wedding ring, a sapphire pinky ring and a vintage silver ring to have work done on them. The very nice watch repair woman and Serina both allied my worries by explaining the process, the credentialing of the gold smith, and how they are insured. I was assured my rings would get worked on the following day and I would receive a call just as soon as they were ready for pick up.
I got a call the next morning from Serina for an okay on the cost of the silver ring repair. I gave the okay and by 4:00 I got a call from Howsai that I could come pick up my rings.
I just want to say, not only did Hip, the goldsmith, do a beautiful on refurbishing my white gold rings and repairing the vintage ring, the price was reasonable, I didn't have to be without these very special pieces any longer than promised and the ladies I dealt with made my day brighter with their kind, caring attitudes.
I will be using Fred Meyer Jewelers in Burien...
