Disclaimer beyond the 1 star rating--I successfully got my glasses and contacts prescriptions, through quite a bit of time. They were great in providing 4 trial sets of contacts of varying brands and prescriptions, however I was very happy with the 2nd of 4 sets, and getting tired of going back there.
First, if you need to call them and talk to them on the phone, let me know what your secret is, because I could rarely get ahold of anyone (just rings or goes to an answering service).
My original dr that saw me for my exam appt would constantly cancel my appts because of various issues. I would have to call in and re-schedule, or hope that the desk found another dr. available at that same time. At the end of my experience with them I had to reschedule my last 2 appts because of Dr. cancellation and all in all I saw 4 different doctors, where I had to re-explain my situation to each of them every time I went back.
My contacts...I got one very uncomfortable pair from a brand I'd never used. Did not play well with my astigmatism. So they ordered me a second set from another brand, which were very comfortable and basically perfect. However, they said that they wanted to re-examine my eyes and try another set of different magnification. They were also not good.
I had 5 visits spanning 4 different contact trials--which is great that they were willing to do so many trials, but frustrating because the second set were perfect--and it took from October 2019 until mid February 2020 to finalize the process. Missing appointments because of cancellations, rescheduling, having to come in so many times after each trial....has been frustrating. Their frames are also very expensive, as well as overall materials and services, by about 20% compared to other places.
Everyone was genuinely nice and I had no issues with personal interactions--Dr. Braun, one of the dr's that subbed in for me was exceptionally great. But the whole process has been frustrating.
I'm going back to Costco optical...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI agree with other patients who stated that they had a terrible experience with this office. Where do I start. First I went for double conjunctivitis meaning in both eyes. My appointment was at 10. I wasnāt seen until 11:50. Then Iām told they donāt call in the rx until end of day?!?!?? Are you kidding me?? I had to wait in pain and discomfort all day to start the medication! Unbelievable. Iāve never experienced something like this in any practice before. Oh the icing on the cake was when a tech (older lady, extremely thin) was bad mouthing patients who clearly had a service animal right in the open/common area so everyone can hear. This was absolutely unacceptable. She was saying how much she hated when people brought their animals to appointments and canāt stand it. This was from a āprofessionalā or lack thereof I should say. The worse part is the patient overheard and went right up to her to tell her the dog was indeed a service animal. The tech said nothing. I felt horrible for the patient who heard her speaking badly about patients with service animals and there was another patient in the waiting room with a service animal as well. This woman tech should consider changing careers as she obviously lacks compassion to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTLDR: Doctor never ordered the medicine after my sisters appointment. She went to pick it up the medicine at the pharmacy but they said they never received the prescription. My PREGNANT sister was in so much pain and didn't have medicine for 4 days.
I'm sorry but what this place did to my sister is unacceptable. After her appointment on friday she went to the pharmacy and the medicine wasn't ready after 2 hours of waiting. Actually... the medicine was never ready because the Doctor never placed the order. When she asked the pharm tech if her medicine was ready they said they don't see any prescription in her name. By that time, the clinic where she had her appointment was closed. Couldn't call because they didn't open until monday (today).
Today (monday 10/24), we had to call more than once to finally get them to place the order. We didn't hear from them for a few hours, so we let them know that we were going to physically go to clinic and get the prescription so we could pick it up at the pharmacy. Seems like once they found out we were coming, all of a sudden the prescription was ready.
From my experience, it hasn't taken more than an hour to pick up a prescription. Nope, we had to wait 4 days.
I don't recommend...
