Dr Zhou is super professional and compassionate! My first delivery was with another OB and it was a nightmare, I was in active contraction for 35 hrs in the El Camino hospital and 9.5cm dilation(for some reason, even the Epi didn't work on me), but finally got to emergency C section, after I was released from the hospital, I got wound infection and took long time to recover. I was so traumatized that prevented me from having another baby for over 6 years. Until I met Dr Zhou, she understood my worries and concerns easily. She read my medical history carefully and assured me that she wouldn't let me suffer both delivery pains again, and explained her plans in detail patiently. I had tears in my eyes to be really heard and being taken care of physically and emotionally. Under her direction, I got confidence back to try on VBAC even with pregnancy diabetes. During the last couple weeks of pregnancy, she evaluated me again and we both agreed on scheduled C section due to my complications. She calls me day and night to check on me when I had false contractions. She makes wise decisions on when to go to hospital and when to wait at home. She is the one to operate the surgery and partnered with another great OB Dr Xie. She is so professional with the surgery I recovered very well and so quick amazingly. I had no infections, no shaking, even not much pain after the surgery. The wound looks beautiful. I couldn't imagine the whole process can be so easy on me this time and it healed my ptsd on delivery. I can't be more grateful with Dr Zhou. She is really knowledgeable, experienced, and you can totally rely on her. Hope more moms can benefit from Dr Zhou with less stress for recovery and more joys...
