My first issue was a few weeks ago. I come here quite often and a girl I didn’t recognize took my order. I always get a double rainy day. I told her what I wanted and she repeated it back to me and I confirmed. She then told me my total was $7 and some odd cents, but a double is around $10. I then said that I ordered a double and she stared at me for a second then told me my new total in an aggressive tone. Then she brought me a red drink (the rainy day is more of a green color). I asked her what the drink was and she said a unicorn dream. I told her I ordered a rainy day and she stared at me as if I had just insulted her. She then turned and made the drink and thrust it at me. She told me to have a good day but her tone was condescending. The next time I went back was on my birthday but I was in the passenger seat and my mom was the one who ordered. There were no mistakes and the correct drink came out made by the rude barista. My mom told me she thought she was stoned, but that is not an excuse to treat customers with attitude. Then today, I went to get a drink hoping she was not there but she was. She took my order and I looked in and saw her making a double unicorn dream again. A different barista was checking me out and I let her know it was the wrong drink. When she turned around to tell her it was wrong, the rude barista looked like she was fuming. When she handed me the drink this time she just glared at me. My passenger said thank you and have a nice day but she turned around and left. I’m starting to think she’s intentionally doing this. The first time I assumed she was having a bad day, but now I feel like she has an issue with me. I’m truly upset because I really do love this place but at this point I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I feel as though it’s not too much to ask to get the drink I ordered and not feel like it’s my fault someone made the...
Read moreI have lived in Burlington for 5 years now. I have gone to this same Bigfoot since the day I’ve moved in almost every single day. I go in the morning before class and often late at night as of recent. Everything was fine until roughly 6 months ago when new people started arriving and old people were leaving. I’ve watched every day as the new employees disrespected me. Rude attitudes, taking absolutely forever, and this last time I went was my last straw. there was someone in line for over 5 minutes and 2 people working at night. well, the Hispanic girl saw someone she must’ve liked a little to much because she proceeded to flirt with him and he circled the line multiple times to talk to her. She made eye contact with me and the car behind me and continued to talk for minutes, meanwhile they had NO drinks. I absolutely love Bigfoot and choose them over any place in Burlington because of service and willingness to make what I want, but now, I’m over it. I’ve gotten smug comments, passive aggressiveness and long wait times way too much. At one point me and my partner thought she was singling us out to be rude but it seems like from other reviews this is all way to common for her. I used to work in food service too, and don’t get me wrong, it sucks. But I was never blatantly disrespectful to my customers fully ignoring them and giving rude tone over a literal DRINK. I will NOT come back to this Bigfoot. Mount Vernon is much better. I really hope management addresses her because 4 reviews I’ve seen are towards...
Read moreAround 8am this morning I was shocked by the barista’s treatment of the customer in front of me. The customer, a seemingly middle aged, professional looking woman simply asked to purchase a bottle of water. To which the barista responded with “we do not sell water." This was also said with a noticably rude tone. After a short silence the customer then asked to buy a cup of ice or even tap water or something to that extent, but the worker flatly said "No. We don't have those things." Then strangest of all I think, the customer then asked about Italian Ice, clearly more interested in just getting a beverage than calling out the bordering on absurd, level of rudeness being shown to a would be customer. Then strangest of all, the barista said "They start at seven dollars, and we do not accept cash."(!!!) The woman looked hurt and embarrassed and just left without responding to any of this. So now I am for her as I could not let this go without doing something. I love your coffee, but I went straight through without ordering today and am now doing something I very rarely do which is writing this review. This kind of behavior makes me unlikely to ever visit again. I hope management addresses this, as kindness should be part of customer service, and that was reprehensible treatment of a fellow human. To the detriment of us all.
Also I do not know the baristas name, she's a young...
