jUST PURCHASED A LG BRAND- STACKED GAS-FIRED WASHER/DRYER UNIT FROM LEIGH AT RECENTLY-OPENED STORE ON S CHURCH ST IN BURLINGTON, NC.BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER RECEIVED IN ANY RETAIL STORE, LARGE OR SMALL.I HAD LOOKED EVERYWHERE IN TOWN WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SUCCESS UNTIL SOMEONE SUGGESTED I TRY QUEEN CITY. NO OTHER ESTABLISHMENT SEEMED TO CARE WHETHER I BOUGHT FROM THEM OR NOT. MOST JUST WISHED ME LUCK AND SAID IT APPEARED MY CLOSET SPACE WAS TOO SMALL TO ACCOMMODATE ANOTHER STACKED UNIT,AS SIZES HAD CHANGED SINCE I LAST PURCHASED A MAYTAG STACKED UNIT 22 YEARS AGO,WHICH RECENTLY FLOODED MY HALLWAY. LEIGH RESEARCHED SIZES,STYLES,AND BRANDSTIRELESSLY AND FINALLY FOUND A LARGER CAPACITY UNIT THAT MIGHT WORK IF CERTAIN ADJUSTMENTS WERE MADE, PLACING THE GAS-FIRED UNIT IN THE SAME AREA OF THE CLOSET, BUT REMOVING ONE OF THE BIFOLD DOORS SO AS NOT TO IMPEDE THE EXTENDED APPLIANCE DOORS FROM FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AND STILL PRESERVING THE AESTHETIC APPEARANCE, AN ARRANGEMENT I FIRST THOUGHT WOULD SURELY NOT BE AN ACCEPTABLE OPTION, AS I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK IT WOULD IN FACT BE LIKE PLACING A SQUARE PEG IN A ROUND HOLE. BUT TO MY SURPRISE IT WORKED OUT BEAUTIFULLY, THANKS TO QUEEN CITY'S DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION CREW OF 2 GUYS WHO CAME OUT IN JUST 2 DAYS AND QUICKLY REMOVED MY MAYTAG UNIT, REPLACING IT WITH THE LG APPLIANCE IN AN EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER, ALTHOUGH AT FIRST SITE I FELT CERTAIN THEY MIGHT BE SHORT- HANDED TO COMPLETE THE TASK DUE TO THE MANY CHALLENGES INVOLVED IN FITTING THE SPACE.LIKE LEIGH, THEY DISPLAYED GREAT PATIENCE AND RESOLVE IN PROVIDING A SUCCESSFUL SETUP, AND ACCOMPLISHED THE JOB WITH A WONDERFUL, UP-BEAT ATTITUDE- CHEERFUL AND WITHOUT COMPLAINT. Read moreSo first the good. I really like the associate I worked with at the store. She was very nice and was attentive without being pushy. When my refrigerator was delivered it was out of the box, had been inspected, and wrapped. I have recently had a really bad experience with Lowe's delivering damaged refrigerators. I had two in a row and it took almost 2 weeks to get those two, only to be disappointed again. They said it would be a few days before they could get me a third one and that's when I canceled and went with Queen City. Now the bad. With Lowe's I have a 30-day period to return the refrigerator. With Queen City you don't even have a 48-hour period. This could be problematic as because my first refrigerator with Lowe's I did not notice the seal was not matching up and there was a slight bend in the door. I called LG to get them to come out and fix it and they said that that was a Lowe's problem that they had not put the door on correctly. After a lot of wrangling I just returned the refrigerator. When I use my Lowe's card I have a 30-day. So I'm just warning you if you had a refrigerator delivered and something was missed you could be stuck in between two arguing companies of who's going to make it right. The second thing I didn't like was they basically dropped the refrigerator in my kitchen and didn't plug it in or hook it up to water. Given what I just mentioned you can see how that's a problem. Maybe the refrigerator is not working. Then you have to wait for the manufacturer to come out and fix it you can't just return it to the store. Krissie was very polite and helpful as we considered our purchases. She demonstrated important features of the models in which we were interested and gathered additional information for us as needed. Krissie was detailed and accurate in assisting us in completing our purchases ensuring delivery and installation details and specifications. The delivery of our first appliance , which was a refrigerator went very smoothly and was actually able to be delivered the very next day. The delivery team showed up well within the window they had indicated. They were also very polite and professional as well as careful setting up the new fridge on our newly installed flooring. We would absolutely go and purchase a third appliance from Queen City as soon as we need to! We very much appreciated the personal touch and Krissie’s excellent and polite, communication skills the process. It’s wonderful that we have this locally for purchasing appliances.
