Super disappointed is all I can say. Everyone raved about this place but my oh my. $40.00 this is not worth it for what was bought. Ordered eye round pho and the broth is so salty and very little hint of all of those amazing spices but what really bothered me was the slimy browned sprouts sitting in a pool of liquid in the Styrofoam container. I'm use to rice noodles for pho being bouncy with a touch of sticking together not somewhat of a slime to touch. The withered browned herbs to go with as well. The biggest of things is my kids love lo mein. We ordered two lo mein- one with shrimp and one with chicken. I have never seen spaghetti noodles used for lo mein in my entire life. I have included what pictures I took. I wish I could have gotten a pic of the sprouts before they were tossed. I will say the spring rolls I got do look wonderful haven't tried them yet but the look wonderful only wish they would have come with a sweet and sour sauce. I am not a huge picky person and I love to leave a great review on a new place I try but sometimes I have to say my oh my. Really was wanting this be a new spot on our list.

Unassuming location delivers big on flavor! Don’t be fooled by the mini-strip mall storefront. They served up the absolute freshest Asian food we have had in years. Spicy pork dumplings were outstanding! Just the right amount of heat, great flavors, and that sauce! Yum! Pho was equally great with a rich and flavorful broth. The sesame chicken bento tray was full of creative, tasty, fresh goodies. Wonderful fried rice. Perfectly crispy egg rolls with a crust that was much thinner than what other Chinese restaurant are serving up. They were clearly made in house. Our food hit the table very quickly and everything was piping hot and fresh. Super clean restaurant with glass covered table tops. Nice and quiet inside. Very well maintained space. The pride in ownership is very obvious here. Very friendly and polite staff. There is a full bar with a TV but that did not detract from the experience. I feel like we found a gem!

Loved Golden Dragon, but it switched ownership. I was very nervous because the last place was so good. I have to say that it was fantastic. You have the option of Asian, Mexican and Fusion dishes, so something for everyone! The hot and sour soup was phenomenal, served alongsinde crispy won tons. The Bento box I got had my choice of rice, a steak or pork taco, sesame chicken and crab Rangoon. I seriously thought there was no way I could eat all of that food, but I sure did! Glad to have this as a return option for some great food in the Burlington area!

First time here as we wanted some Chinese food at a dine in restaurant that was not a chain. This location was recently taken over by new owners and have updated the menu to include Hispanic food on the menu in addition to the Asian cuisine which I don't think works and seems to be the same general consensuses from others looking for certain staple Chinese food like Sweet and Sour Chicken, Pepper Steak and more. They really should switch back and keep it more focused on Asian cuisine instead. (Just based on my thoughts and others feedback we heard while dining too)

Service was pretty good but there was no body else dining in but there were about 10 take out orders while we were there. Food came out in a decent amount of time but not all at the same time (was over a span of about 5 - 10 mins) for all of us to get our food....which was weird.

Chicken and Broccoli -- was ok but really needed to have some more flavor, a little less velveting, but portion size was good for the price.

Sesame Chicken and Genera Tso chicken had good flavor and presentation but many of the pieces of chicken were fatty making the kids be somewhat picky about the food.

The Pork Lo Mein and Pork Fried Rice were both tasty and a good portion size.

Price was about normal and on par with other restaurants and take out Chinese restaurants, portion size was good, food quality and taste needs to be kicked up a notch, and the whole fusion thing needs to be re-thought.

I think they have a good restaurant on their hands and with a little work and promotion (they are in a busy area) that they could do well for both dine-in...

The food is always made fresh and served steaming hot. Food is superb as is wait staff and cleanliness. The atmosphere is excellent . We love this place ! An overall 5 stars all the way ! Because of Covid & my failing health we'd not been able to go to this our favorite restaurant to eat in over 2½ years. We didn't see our regular waitress upon first arriving. The young lady that waited on us seated us immediately & gave us excellent service. In a few minutes our regular, favorite hostess/waitress who owns the restaurant came through & stopped to say hello recognizing us immediately. You're treated like family when you dine in this restaurant. I love the soft music & decorations that make you feel you're indeed in China dining out. There's a nice sized TV above a small bar area that has closed caption in case you care to catch up with the daily news. The food is still as wonderful as it's always been. Our drink order was taken immediately & menus placed 8n our hands. Our soup came to us within 5 minutes of being seated . They have no problem adding or leaving out an ingredient if you choose. If you add there may be an additional charge but no worries because their menu is modestly priced. Located in Burlington , NC convenient to the medical center of ARMC & a short 10 minute drive from Elon University. They're closed on Tuesdays. Give them a try. Thank you Golden Dragon, We love you &...

Found ourselves within a quarter mile of this place at lunchtime with an hour to kill and picked Golden Dragon from the list of nearby restaurants on Google.

Wow. Don't judge this book by its cover. Behind the relatively normal looking plaza storefront is a great little restaurant.

The basil chicken actually had basil in it. The kids' sesame chicken actually tasted like chicken instead of gooped up "parts is parts" And the veggies in my Vegetarian Delight were crisp and flavorful. The rice, both brown and white, were appropriately cooked and tasty.

The bento presentation was unexpected and wonderful - clean, efficient and attractive. The halved and quartered orange was a nice surprise that both cleaned the palate and offered a sweet dessert alternative to the standard fortune cookie.

Our service was really great as well. When I ordered the Vegetarian Delight bento lunch, our server offered to bring me a vegetarian spring roll, and noted that the hot and sour soup I ordered contained pork. Her attention to detail and proactive recommendations were appreciated.

And, after all that, our party of four walked out the door for a modest $35, tax & tip incl.

I hadn't planned to scrawl out a review of a humble Chinese restaurant in Burlington this evening, but I also hadn't planned on stumbling upon this little gem today. Golden Dragon is way above average. If you're in the area, find it...
