It was June 6th Gold's Appliance started the warranty work on my Whirlpool portable dishwasher. the problem was it didn’t pump the water out properly so I was washing dishes with dirty water. The technicians came out, ordered a new pump for it and about a week later came back and installed it which didn't solve the problem. SO they went to the max and ordered every part that could possibly have anything to do with pumping water including the hoses that hook up to my faucet. on July 11th I called Whirlpool to see why their warranty people haven’t come back to fix my dishwasher and they notified me that all the parts hadn't been ordered yet. They ordered the parts and had them overnighted since I absolutely had to have this machine fixed by Friday July 15 as on the 16th I am moving to Texas and I will be hurt considerably if the house doesn’t have a dishwasher at the sale. Gold's promised me they would be there Thursday July 14th and they stiffed me. I called July 15th and they said they'd get back to me which they didn’t. I called Lowes to get them to help since they recommended Gold's to do the warranty work and they had no luck, I called Whirlpool and they said they can’t help me. I asked Whirlpool if this is the way they want their customers treated and is this what you expect from your warranty repair people? They said you'll have to deal with them; they can’t get them to come out sooner. I'm told the earliest they can come out is July 22nd. Now wouldn’t you think that after your company disses you two days in a row, you might be put on top of the list for repair. Now not with these guys. I was told on another service call date that "they don’t schedule for the convenience of customers; they schedule at their convenience". Apparently to their scheduler, 39 days is an unrealistic amount of time to fix a customer's dishwasher. Since the scheduler scolded me for asking for a sooner repair date for their second visit I've got a hunch he deliberately stiffed me on my "last date possible" to get even with me for telling him it had to be fixed by Friday the 15th.
My wife has a job start date in Texas and might have to stay in a hotel till Gold's finds a convenient day to repair my dishwasher and I have to make the move by myself. We have a closing on a house that won’t be met and these guys were told all of this days before they dissed my repair appointment. These guys have no business being used for warranty work as they could care less about it for whatever reason. I wouldn’t take a machine from them for free for fear that someday I might need it repaired. The worst part is, because they are past a month and a half dinking around with my repair, I am past the warranty date and Gold’s is the only place now that can fix it under warranty. If I find a reputable repair shop to do it faster, I will have to pay for it.
Number 1, never buy an appliance from anybody but an appliance only stores; they take care of their customers. This is the second time I have had a major appliance issue having purchased it at Lowe's. Now Gold’s Appliances seems to be just as bad as buying it from Lowe’s as their service department could care less about a customer. More than a month and a half and I still don’t have a working dishwasher. Is that what you want?
Bottom line, a very vindictive service department. This is one appliance store you might want to avoid or you might, like myself experience their schedulers revenge. How dare you have a day 39 days into a repair that you need it done. I just talked to the owner and he refuses to fix my dishwasher calling me hostile as I AM not happy...
Read moreContacted Gold's to come out to repair our maytag washer that was still under warranty from Lowes. On (1st service call) was told it more or less needed to be completely rebuilt. Said they would submit their findings to the warranty company and if approved would order the parts and come out. Recieved call that the parts were in scheduled for them to come back out to "repair" it. (2nd time out) Replaced everything on it except for the circuit board, wiring harness and drain pump. Said they did a test load on it everything was fixed. Was able to wash 2 loads until it started throwing codes again. Contacted company scheduled for them to come out. (3rd time out) Again they came out and said they weren't sure what was wrong with it since it was stuck on a continuous spin cycle. Contacted manufacturer and was told it needed to be connected to the wifi. They gave me the number and told me to call the manufacturer to have me figure out how to download the newest software update. Was able to complete 3 loads then threw another code along with one stating to call a manufacturer. (Scheduled 4th Apt -no call no show) Called and left several voice-mails and was never called back. Called warranty company and scheduled an appointment the day of the "service" they were a no call no show. My husband called in and asked why they didnt show up, the secretary stated that the insurace company schedules appointments and doesn't let them know or to check what they already have on their schedule. Apologized and scheduled them to come out a few days later. Made another claim into the insurance bc this was a totally different issue than previous issues. They scheduled me another appt with them and again did not show up. I had to have a friend call in from a different number and pretend to be me for them to answer the phone. Only to have a gentleman in the back ask the secretary who was calling and to tell me that they didn't know what more to do to help me, they didn't know how to repair it. Recommended a second opinion or to call my warranty company and request that they contact them ,and they would be able to provide the information that they would need. (Still have out an open claim because the warranty company has not heard from them) I definitely would not recommend them! It's now going on 2 months and my washer still isn't fixed due to...
Read moreDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON! It is obvious by the amount of one star reviews that they are horrible at customer service.
We contacted them about a warranty repair on our washer from Lowes. We explained to them EXACTLY what happened and what part was needed. We were told that they would come out on a Thursday, but then called and rescheduled for the next day from 9-4. When contacted on Friday, we were told that they did not have the part we had requested and the tech needed to "make sure that was what was wrong with our washer," even though we specifically told them what part (if was a simply latch on the lid of the washer that broke off). They were extremely rude on the phone to my wife. When I called in and asked why my wife was upset the lady (Rosanne) was very defensive and stated the tech has to come out and make sure that is the problem first. When I tried to talk with her about it, she cut me off and spoke over me with an extremely rude tone, to which I told her to stop and let me speak. Next thing I know she hung up on me. I called back numerous times and she threatened to call the cops and would put the phone down and leave me sitting there. What type of person works in customer service and is that rude to their customers? Also, what company does not carry parts on hand? It was clear what needed to be fixed and a simple one day tech service would have done the job. This company was ill prepared and wanted use to take 2 days off for them to come out twice for a repair? This was by far the worst experience and would give them zero stars if possible. I look forward to the response from the owner of the company. Instead of posting on here, you have my number, give me a call so we can discuss. Hope this lady is not rude to other customers!!
Added to this post!! I had forgotten they had already been to my house to fix the washer previously. The tech "fixed the issue" for the time being but said they would order the part and contact us to have it replaced. That was in January 2024. To this day (April 19, 2024) they had not called to come back out and fix the first issue. It seems that anyone who uses this company seems to have the same...
