Yarned & Dangerous LLC — Local services in Cañon City

I have been a fiber artist for about 10 years and have never been to a store or met an owner like Yarned and Dangerous and Tammy. This store truly has everything you need for any fiber craft, and I love the range of products and price.

The community Tammy has created is so special, and I love that there are always chairs available to sit down to work on projects and chat with others. Everyone is always happy to answer any questions you have!

Tammy always goes above and beyond to help. She always takes her time to answer the many questions I have, and had even walked through her store with me to help me pick the right type and color for whatever project I’m working on. I also use different mobility aids, and she asked me how she could make her store more accessible and easier for me and others to navigate the store better.

Y&D is an absolutely fabulous hidden gem LYS in the heart of Cañon City. If you are a fiber artist traveling to visit the royal gorge or go antiquing in nearby Florence then it is an absolute must visit. The shop is full of Colorado charm and has a wide variety of materials and notions, including a rainbow wall of embroidery thread and unique buttons. Yarn choices included more than just merino, with some contemporary cotton colors as well (extremely important for a Florida knitter!) Finally, the owner was there on the day we visited. She was extremely cool and graciously kept the store open later than the posted hours to accommodate a few straggler shoppers. 10/10...

I absolutely love this shop. Despite being a fiber artist for years, I've always been intimidated to step foot inside, in fear of not being able to afford anything. This has not been the case! They suit my needs when I'm on budget, just as well as when I'm looking to treat myself to something nice. The inventory has also really improved since the one time I popped in when they first opened years ago, which I think is worth mentioning. I've left very happy every time I've visited.
