Edit: I did give them 4 stars before but after the phone call I just had I had to changed it to a 2 stars. I never really had issues with this location untill today. The pharmacist up front are very polite and helpful. I have no clue who I talked with today. But it turned me off from coming back here in the future.
My kid has to have an epipen for allergy shots. Usually it's a year expiration date out. We picked it up on May 30th 2025. Her old one expired in June 2025.
Luckily we looked at the new box today since we just open it. The new one says it expires on Sep 2025. I called and asked what the time frame the pens are, they said it depends what the date is on the box. I explained we just got this and it's expires sooner then 4 months. I was dismissed completely. The pharmacist only offered that they can put in a new script every 30 days. Why couldn't I have a new one put in for Monday? It would of been "30 days" window. They said they can give us a new one that would be later on like in 2026 or even 2027 once it's refilled. I asked if I could switch for a later one now and was told no. I was told that it was what all they had in stock at the time. But I wasn't informed of that when it was picked up. I never had an EpiPen expire less then 4 months. All the ones I would refilled would of been at least a year. How was that our fault they didn't have a pen that expires later, just to deal with it? They just gave us whatever they had and didn't care. We have a copay when we pick this medication up, which wouldn't be a problem if our kid had to use it. But I would of went somewhere else to have this filled if I would of known it expired less then 4 months out. What a waste of time and money. What if we didn't have insurance and had to pay for it unnecessarily for another one out of pocket because the EpiPen was out of date less then 4-5 months? No one would of bought it if that was the case.
Make sure you ask them to give you the latest possible expiration they have. It's crazy you even have to ask them. The experience I just had makes me feel like I can't trust Walgreens to fill any of my family meds out. Probably won't be going back to...
Read moreThe Walgreens in Cabot, is a good place to shop for medicinal products, personal items, and even miscellaneous needs. It's a lot like the old fashioned stores that were once a popular spot in each neighborhood. Customers and workers knew each other by name. The clerks here are all friendly, joke around, share a conversation, recognize me when I come in. It feels like you are stopping by the neighborhood store for a few items, rather than a national chain store. For a smaller Walgreens, it seems to have a great selection of all sorts of items to choose from. Including some items that you may have just seen in commercials, on TV touting the latest marvel, that you have somehow been living life without! They have an excellent selection of vitamins, minerals, and even CBD pain relieving gels, creams, and roll ons! The cold case has a variety of items. From water and other cold drinks to frozen meal entrees, like pizza and ice creams. I drive from Lonoke, 22 miles away, just to get my prescriptions filled here, in 15 minutes, and shop for sale bargains and necessities. The fact that the Pharmacy workers sometimes don't have time to answer the phones, thus keeping me on hold for a ridiculous 35-45 minutes, whenever I am supposed to call to ask them to fill our prescriptions, is totally frustrating! Particularly when you can tell that the receiver has been lifted, as you can hear voices, then the phone is hung up. Which, when you have been on hold for 35 minutes, or more, is enough to make you feel like cussing when you hear the phone hang up. The Pharmacy seems to be under staffed. I frequently struggle with being unable to reach them by phone in order to get them to fill my emailed...
Read moreUPDATE JULY 2025 I have to say that the pharmacy here has greatly improved in the past few months! Maybe they were short handed for a while, and maybe they still are, but I can't tell. I have seen improvements in filling time and the waiting in line time. It seems there are new pharmacists and staff and they are very efficient and friendly. I felt it right to give an update, because they are always good to me.
Update January 2025. I have seen more lately that wait times are longer, however I don't mind waiting. I have yet to see any rude staff ever, in 13 years. Maybe it's because I try to be kind to them in which case they are kind to me. I had exceptional service today by the pharmacist and another lady and felt it fitting to say so. I don't know his or her name, but the pharmacist noticed me waiting and took care of me quickly! Thank you!
I have been using this Walgreens pharmacy in Cabot for about 10 or more years. Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but there are likely many, many prescriptions ahead of mine and they can only go as fast as they can .The staff and pharmacists are always kind and helpful. If there is ever a problem they are helpful in finding a way to solve it although I have hardly had any problems with them. I personally am happy with this pharmacy and I do recommend them. People have commented how they are unhappy with this location. With all of what has happened in the world in the last couple of years, all businesses have struggled. The people at Walgreens, or any business, are human beings just like the rest of us and are just trying to do the...
