I needed to cash a money order that I purchased 11/23/18 at 8:08am and have both receipts from Kroger and western union. They said they couldn’t cash it because they say it hasn’t been 48 hours yet it’s 11/25/18 3:08 pm. The customer service lady was extremely rude, so I walked out and had my boyfriend go in and ask what the deal was. And on of the managers was helping him when another manger came up and told her to stop helping him and said they couldn’t do anything to help but the first manager was trying to help. So when we leave we call back to speak to the manager Randy and explained to him what was going on and when I said it wasn’t right that it has been over 48 hours and have both receipts to prove it he hung up on me. I have hearing issues & could not understand the cashier,& There was another employee behind her that was literally laughing because I could not understand. I'm 67 & wear hearing aids, but speakers are hard for me to understand. I felt put down,& made fun of openly, & truly did not understand why this woman was being hateful to me. I drove over to the store, spoke to the manager. He said he would go over & talk to them. I did not feel that any of them cared how I felt at all. Treating people with disrespect cannot be a Kroger policy, but the Cabot store is doing that today. It seems it's a hostile place for seniors with hearing issues for sure. I heard someone in the back, and she finally emerged after me saying hello several times. I asked for deli service, to which she replied since she is the only employee present, the deli is closed. I sought out a manager, there wasn't one on site, the cashier said they are not cross-trained in all areas so she could not go assist her and the slicers were already clean since they were closed.......Very disturbed about this, again WHY update the facilities if you do not keep it staffed?
