I visited Polackecks in November 2023, looking for a Rolex GMT to commemorate a huge year for me - leaving over 10 years of active duty Navy service (Feb 23), getting married (May 23), and having my first child, (due Jan 24). I had a great chat with the sales associate although I was told that the GMT is a difficult piece to get and perhaps I should also consider visiting the Ben Bridge @ The Oaks. Nevertheless, I was told that sometimes management may consider a new client for an allocation like this, so I remained hopeful. I live in Ventura and this is the closest Rolex AD that isn’t pressuring me to buy jewelry that I don’t want in order to be considered for a Rolex (sorry Ben Bridge). However, I generally don’t have a reason to come out to Calabasas and with a baby, the opportunities for me to make a face to face visit are now near zero. So in Jan 24 I emailed the sales associate to remind them that I’m still interested, the baby is due in a few days, and that I’d also be interested in an Explorer or even a Tudor Black Bay 54 in a desperate attempt to have something meaningful to celebrate the occasion. They respond promptly and told me my new selections should help me get a watch much sooner and I’ll get a call as soon as one is available. Three days later my son was born, and to this day (Sep 24) they have not called or emailed me since. I know most folks leave positive reviews because they get “the call” but I really don’t know what more I could have done to advocate for myself, I’m sure BB54s are plentiful now (and frankly my moment of desperation for that and the Explorer are gone). Extremely Disappointing Experience at Polacheck’s Jewelers

I’ve walked into Polacheck’s on multiple occasions with the genuine intention of purchasing a Rolex watch, but the experience has been consistently frustrating and frankly insulting. The sales associates carry themselves with an air of arrogance, as if merely representing the Rolex brand makes them royalty. There’s a level of rudeness and dismissiveness that’s completely unacceptable in any luxury retail environment.

Each time I visit, I’m told the same canned line: “We don’t have anything for sale” or “Everything is exhibition only.” Despite being “put on a waitlist,” there has been zero follow-up, no transparency, and no willingness to engage in an actual sales process. Meanwhile, I’ve seen activity in the store—watches being pulled out, deals being made—just never for someone walking in fairly like me. It feels like inventory is being funneled through backchannels or offered only to preferred third-party dealers.

It makes no sense that a high-end retailer opens a brand-new store without any intention of offering inventory to legitimate walk-in customers. Either they’re hiding inventory or playing games that damage the trust customers are supposed to have in the Rolex brand and its authorized dealers.

We couldn’t have imagined a better first-time luxury watch-buying experience than what we received at Polacheck’s Jewelers.
