Edit #2: I had my third bad employee interaction, this time with a long curly gray haired cashier I hadn't seen before. I understand with low unemployment that you sometimes have to hire the repeatedly fired people. This one was a huge a-hole to me and there wasn't a reason for it. I decided that was my last trip to Raleys. I'll drive a little further to Nugget or Whole Foods.
Edit: Raley's still shows this as a ONE market, but they gave up on the restrictive offerings and instead decided to outsource their grocery delivery to some kid that can't communicate with customers and a 3rd party delivery company. Way too many problems with it.
Well, I shopped here for decades and it was fine if you stuck with sales and their rewards program and didn't mind having your car doors dinged all the time.
The new ONE remodel is a failure for me. Forget about inexpensive store and other cheaper brands, along with a great deal of selection. On a recent trip with my usual shopping list, I found two items out of over 20. Milk and half and half. Everything else was no longer sold. Also, nice to rearrange the store 3 times in the past 15 months. Nevermind about a pandemic. Lets have people walking all over the store looking for bread.
Thoroughly enjoy their responses to reviews, especially their assurance that their employees wore masks until last week. They didn't. Telling people to stop believing their lying eyes and removing half the products while jacking up the price?
Very much looking forward to a trader joes or other inexpensive market to open here. Shame Raleys put profits ahead of their customers. I don't think it'll work...
Read moreMy family and I have been shopping at this store since we moved to the area 16years ago. Our experience have always been good to great up until this past Friday. I came in to get something for dinner, I got 2 different types of soups (2 clam chowder and 1 crab bisque) along with some groceries. My poor husband became violently I'll within 2hrs of eating the clam chowder I got for him, vomiting and diarrhea all night and I had nausea and chills from having the crab bisque. That night I tried to reach the store manager 2 times but didn't get one. So I called the 800 customer service line that's printed on the store receipt, to report what happened to us. Not much help from them, only given instructions to visit the store to file an incident report and bring in the containers and any leftover soup for them to examine. It's really disheartening to find that the store doesn't want to own fault. When I finally felt well enough to go to the store, which was on Sunday, I spoke to the manager Bill, who was less than compassionate nor sympathetic. And to top it off, he didn't even offer to refund me for the cost of the 3 bowls of soup that just put my husband through hell, I had to ask for it!! I'm waiting until Tuesday for John to come back, who is supposed to be the person who handles this type of problem that occurs in the store. Bill gave me John's number to follow up with him, but why should I be the one to call to give him a follow up!? I'm hoping my encounter will be better with John....
Read moreI always enjoy shopping at this Raley's. I can always find exactly what I need without having to look the whole store for it. And a lot of the staff, I can tell you, has been there for such a long time that they are definitely a neighborhood Staple in the community. You can always see the same friendly faces, there's not a high turnover and these people actually care about us and love their job. Again these are not things that you can generally say about a whole lot of places these days and this place has the good old down home customer service. They are a Staple in you and your families life and I am so grateful to them for that because that is so hard to find these days. The store is beautiful, it's remodeled they keep all the the produce fresh and the donuts fresh that's my favorite part and They just really take care of you as though you were their family and I really cannot get over that. It's just been such a joy being able to walk in those doors at the end of a long day and have a familiar face help you find what you need for dinner or for a trip that weekend or whatever. Team El Dorado Hills Raley's rocks I appreciate all that you do thank you for being such a positive force in our community and I can't wait for my kids to experience what it feels like to have a sense of community like that. Thank you again raleys team, I always look forward to shopping...
