Abdu Market — Local services in Canton Township

We come here often for the chicken rollers. Today I came in with my daughter and they saw me and didn't help me for 5 minutes standing at the bakery and there was only 1 other person in the entire store. I even rang the bell which was unnecessary considering the guy at the deli was staring at me and one of the cashiers. Then one of the cashiers came walking over with a smirk, I almost left. Not to mention cashing out the lady continued smirking at me. I ask for a plastic bag twice because they gave me the full brown paper bag which was already getting greasy. I was trying to open my wallet to pay while trying to balance the bag of chicken rollers on the counter so they didnt fall out on the counter and again I asked for a plastic bag which she ignored me. No I am not Muslim but my family is. No I was not speaking Arabic but I shouldn't have to. No we were not wearing hijabs but we shouldn't have to when you are open to the public. Plenty of middle eastern people do not wear hijabs. Especially in Canton, where we are welcomed with open arms at any other middle eastern establishment. My family is from Palestine but you judged us based off of my daughter's skin color being lighter than yours. Her grandmothers skin is even lighter than hers, she has red hair and blue eyes and you wouldnt of treated her differently if she walked in with her hijab and speaking arabic. You won't have our...

I’ve been here only a couple times but will not be returning. The lady working the register was so nasty and awful to me. I hope management reads these reviews bc I’ve seen a few other reviews about her and this was the same person. She screamed at and berated me assuming I was stealing after she rang me up for, bagged and handed me my groceries but after I returned from the bakery section to pay for my bread there she started screaming saying I hadn’t paid for the items she had rang me up for and caused a huge scene. I was very confused and still have no idea why she would ring up and bag my groceries if she had no intention of allowing the payment to go through. Most importantly instead of kindly explaining anything she immediately jumped to assuming I was trying to walk out with unpaid items. I will not be coming back and I will be advising others to...

Abdallah did a great job with the Thanksgiving Meal. It was perfect!

The turkey they gave in the Thanksgiving Meal was HUGE and delicious. They also gave salad, potatoes, mashed potatoes, a variety of cooked vegetables, rice, and macaroni and cheese (and they used real cheese for the macaroni and cheese). The portions were large. The food was delicious. It was great. We will be using them for future catering.

Catering from Abdu was affordable, and if I am being honest, I saved money. I saved money and I didn’t have the stress of cooking a Thanksgiving meal. Plus, I didn’t have to clean up the mess!
