We went here to eat on the 4th of July. There were 7 of us and they acted like it was a huge inconvenience that we all came together and wanted to sit near each other. We understand they can only seat so many people at a table and we were fine with it so Idk why it was such an issue for the lady the greeted us. Then, our server took forever to even come to the table, which was fine, we were all chatting. (The store was dead, mind you..maybe 3 other tables) next, they didn’t make all of our food, the waitress couldn’t remember what food went with what meal or what food we were all still missing. We finally got the right food - they really skimped on the hash browns but we didn’t complain - and ate. At the end of the meal we ordered a Reese pie to take home. Later when we were all eating the pie, my uncle found a clump of GOD KNOWS WHAT pictured in his piece. the pie I waited like 7 minutes for after our meal even though we asked for it long before we were finished...took the waitress a nice long time to bring it up from the back...had something in it. We were very understanding and tried to be supportive of our waitress while she struggled and we even tipped her $25 on $95 so it’s not like we were rude or even upset...just got horrible service and planned to ignore it until the pie thing happened - now I know I will never eat at this restaurant chain...
Read moreThis place has been a family stop for us the past few years. Recently we decided to stop going here unless it's breakfast. I noticed the menu change along with the price hike. Don't ever order the chicken pot pie!! The first time I ordered it I was so displeased. I ended up giving it back and getting a grilled cheese. The pot pie tasted more like flour and dough than anything and the sauce was nasty. KFC has a better pot pie. The day i returned it, another lady did the same thing and sent her potpie back for something else. The employees and manager are always kind and helpful but the food is going down hill. The portions are smaller and the prices higher. I'm sad to say the grilled cheese I ordered to replace my potpie was messed up. My daughter gets it all the time so I have tasted it in the past, but on this occasion it was bitter like it was cooked before the griddle or pan was clean. It tasted terrible like it wasn't cooked in butter but something else. I left it and didn't complain about it since I was already still upset about my potpie and thinking how on earth do u mess up a grilled cheese? I put it off on the cook that day but I wont be back. The changes to the food and menu are not good in my opinion. I heard that the franchise has changed hands which could be the reason...
Read moreThe food is generally good, everything is usually fresh. My link sausage was a bit on the hard side this time. The food is not always as hot as I would like it to be.
It's not the food here that's the issue, it's the service. My waitress was great. She was at my table before I was seated. She was prompt, attentive and courteous until she put the check down.
The rest of the staff was much less so. One of the manager's walked by during my meal and asked how I was doing. I responded, "eh" and she kept walking. Wasn't that one of those red flag responses? Maybe she was asking a rhetorical question.
One waitress carrying two trays almost dropped her trays as she stopped to keep from walking into me. She was coming from my left and I guess was trying to walk through me as I was walking to my table. I had to twist sideways to avoid walking into her trays.
Another waitress walked right in front of me like I wasn't there as I was passing by. I had to abruptly stop to let her pass. She never said a word.
I would describe part of the staff here as rude, indifferent, oblivious and/or preoccupied. Maybe just spaced out and apathetic. I don't know, is that...
