I was at Kohls today because of the Amazon Return I had a coupon. One entrance is closed because of Covid19 so you have to use only the one other entrance/exit which straight away forces more people to bottleneck and congregate together. Then as you enter you see the mandated signs for wearing a "face covering" because if they call it a mask they have to abide by OSHA Laws. Next you see a "greeter" or Whitmer Executive Order enforcer wearing a mask and a clear face personal sneeze guard. Whatever?. Then you look over at the only checkout lanes and they all have plastic surrounding the clerks and the clerks look miserable in their masks with some pulled down under their noses and others taken them off to breath in between customers. Yet, the real kicker to this whole thing and what makes me think that Kohls really doesn't care about the EO or the people and their "social distancing" plan is that they put two tables of 80% off Clearance items smack dab in the only aisle in or out with about 30" of space on either side for people to butt funnel around each other. When I entered there were 5 people around the tables plus the greeter which ensured that I had to pass by 2 to get in rubbing butts and then on the way out there were 4 people shopping right there. You would think if they took it seriously they would make sure that people had enough room to enter and exit without coming within 6 feet of each other but the entrance and exit doors are side by side and only if you enter the outer side of each door would you be 6 feet. I'm not that old but there were a lot of shoppers in the vulnerable category there. I find the whole thing laughable that they will do this but not that. I want the masks off and things to go back to normal but if you enforce half measures then I will opine. I would give you 5 stars if you take it all down and deny the order or 5 stars if you uphold it and do everything perfectly. Yet, what Kohls is doing shows the lack of knowledge about the Executive Order or a lack of bravery to...
Read moreWhile I enjoy shopping here, I also have a real complaint about this store and the way they constantly push you to open one of their store credit cards.
When I am ready to pay for my purchase with my normal Amex card, the cashier will ask if I want to open a new charge card and usually there is any offer of some discount to do so. I always politely decline because I just don’t want another card - but the cashier just keeps on hounding me to open a store account. Sometimes they even start taking an application and ask for my Social Security Number and income.
I’ve been told that the cashiers are trained to ask you three times to open the store account. This is highly annoying, so PLEASE tell them to stop after the customer says no.
When I say no - I mean NO!! The next time this happens I am leaving my merchandise at the counter without purchasing anything.
I went to shop at the Kohls store in Canton MI on Ford Road with my granddaughter for her birthday. It was the worst Kohls store I've ever seen. The aisles were junky and the store looked like a garage sale.
I also looked for some clothes for myself but could not find anything appropriate for a 60 year women. Women of this age do not want to wear tight jeans with holes in them or shorts so short you can see your ass.
Your tops look like something a kid would wear to play out in the backyard.
Why don't you have professional dress...
Read moreMy visits to this Kohl's are usually pleasant, and that was the case today. I was shopping for a new pair of jeans. Kohl's has a decent selection of junior's jeans. Unfortunately today, there were some sizes and styles of jeans missing, and the jeans' sizes and styles were a bit jumbled up - I attributed this more to the fact that it's near Christmas and there were a lot of messy customers in the store. In any case, I did find what I was looking for.
I use a wheelchair, and Kohl's has accessible changing rooms. In fact, even the non-accessible fitting rooms fit my wheelchair when I'm alone. The accessible fitting rooms have plenty of room for my wheelchair and, if someone needs it, someone else in the room to help. Kohl's fitting rooms are far superior to most retail fitting rooms.
The cashier was pleasant and helpful. The jeans rang up for the wrong amount and the cashier, nor the employee who checked the price seemed put out.
The only reason Kohl's is not getting 5 stars is because the clothing racks in all departments are placed rather close to one another, and they make it difficult to get through in a wheelchair (and I'm sure also with a walker). There are some racks I cannot pass between at all. Add to that other customers blocking passages, and all departments become maze-like and frustrating. If I didn't have to fight to navigate around the junior's department, I would have...
