Me and my family go into here a lot, but the customer service is horrible. The prices are great though just not very friendly people and I wanted to share what happened with us the other day! Over by the purses where they have necklaces and earrings out in the middle aisle, my daughter found a stitch necklace and a pair of stitch earrings. The earrings came with two different sets in one of the sets was missing. You definitely knew somebody had stolen a pair the necklace was broken on one side. My daughter wanted to take it to the counter to show them that way nobody would end up buying it and end up being disappointed when they got home, the pieces were broken or missing the lady at the counter, thanked her for bringing them to her and said she would get them taken care of and get them off the shelf. We handed them to her only to keep shopping and went back to the necklaces to make a different choice and the lady that was behind the counter took both of the boxes and set them back out on the shelves, but just put the top on each of them and set them side-by-side right back out for somebody else to buy🤦‍♀️ So just be careful when shopping in there check everything to make sure none of your pieces are missing or broken because they...

An item was damaged. I asked for a "$3" discount. The sales clerk said no without any hesitation. She suggested I take the item "home and wash it". I requested the manager. She called the manager then decided to take the item over to the manager. After what seemed to be a 2 minute conversation with the manager, she came back and said no again. She was sarcastically polite. No yelling, shouting or raising our voices. My total sales were appx $181. I only went in for 1 item. I kept that one thing and had her put the rest back. I don't shop there that often because those stores aren't in my area. The sales clerk said that Burkes store don't give discounts. That too was a lie. In Al I saw them give a customer a discount for damage merchandise. That was the worst experience I've had at a Burkes. As I left the store she yelled out sarcastically "Thanks hun. Have a good day". Funny because I stood near the door and she didn't say or yell that to the customer behind me who happened to be one of my relatives. Poor experience in...

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this clothing store. As a mother, I was shocked and frustrated by their ridiculous policies. I went into the dressing room with my infant, who was safely seated in a buggy, only to be told that I couldn’t bring the buggy in. Seriously? How am I supposed to try on clothes without a stroller or buggy to keep my baby secure? Their solution was to offer to hold my child—like I’d ever hand my infant over to complete strangers! The staff clearly has no understanding of the realities of shopping with a baby. No empathy, no common sense, and definitely no customer service.
