SLIGHT WARNING FOR PARENTS THAT BUY TOYS HERE! A little disappointed in the trip to this tractor supply...went to get puppy food and ended up having to buy a different brand after calling ahead and being told they had what i was looking for but they were mistaken. That wasn't a huge deal. What I was most disappointed about was the fact that I had my 3 year old son with me and let him pick out a toy dinosaur. These dinosaurs are on a shelf with the horses and are labeled at the top of the shelf with a price range going no higher than $9.99. None of the actual toys are labeled with prices on them. So I'm under the assumption that the toy my child picked out wouldn't cost more than $10. I was given a total at the register of over $60 and because I wasnât familiar with the brand of food I was purchasing and they brought it from the back I assumed the dog food was the reason for the high total. Which again...wouldn't be a big deal since the brand we normally buy is pricey as well. But, once i got to my vehicle and looked at the receipt, I realized I was charged $25 for a plastic toy dinosaur! What in the world?! That was a little irritating because...lets be honest...who wants to willingly pay $25 for a small plastic toy your 3 year old is probably going to break in less than 24hrs?! Not this momma! đđ So...I called the store and spoke to the girl at the register and asked if she could have management look into labeling their toys properly. I told her that they might get a momma in there that doesn't have $25 to be surprised by at the register and it would be terrible to have a small child have to put a toy back after it was promised to them because they have them placed on a shelf with incorrect pricing. I was told by the Employee that she will have to see what they will let her do because they have to be displayed a certain way!! What?!! Im not sure if she was referring to management or the company they receive the toys from. But, I find it hard to believe that either would force an employee to purposely place high priced items under false priced signs. That to me, was a ridiculous statement. So...just a warning to parents...be aware that those display toys may cost almost as much as your 30lb bag of dog food...but they wonât tell you until its scanned and...
Read moreIâm hardly ever in canton anymore but as a former TSC employee, I was appalled at the state of the store when I walked in today. The cashier did greet me , but not one other employee offered to help me or acknowledged anyone. The majority of the dog food has not been worked off the top racks so it was all out of reach for customers. One employee was loudly talking about how this was the most chill job he has ever has and as long as you kept the district of your back then it was all good. I understand that First Monday wipes the store out, but working your feed and constantly working the Overstock off the top shelves and facing everything the correct direction and pulling it forward helps tremendously with just how the store looks in general . I know because I have been a cashier, team lead, receiver and assistant manager in this exact store years ago. What happened to taking pride in your store and your work ethic? I ended up leaving without buying anything and drove all the way to Mineola and bought the dog food I...
Read moreIf youâre looking for a good deal on farm and ranch supplies, skip their Canton TX store and head to either Tyler or Mabank. These two stores have lower prices due to the competition offered by Atwoodâs. I conducted a quick analysis on pet feed and ranch supplies and find the Canton store is consistently higher by 5% to 15% on most items. I first noticed this disparity eight years ago when I bought my Massimo UTV which was advertised $1,000 cheaper in the Tyler store than it was in Canton. Also I find that fencing supplies and gates are considerably cheaper in Tyler and Mabank. The Terrell store is slightly cheaper than Canton, but still higher than Tyler and Mabank. Itâs unfortunate that Tractor Supply feels they need to stick it to Canton residents with higher markups. Youâre better off driving just a little further and shopping the Tyler or Mabank stores or better yet, just shop Atwoods which generally does a fine job of merchandising their stores. Perhaps Tractor Supply with get...
