A friend and I planned on meeting each other for lunch halfway….turned out to be Canton. We picked out El Sombrero because it sounded good. Before making the 1 hour drive from my house, I called the restaurant at 2:15 to verify they were open. The lady I spoke with said yes, they were open and would be closing at 5pm. So I left my house. Met my friend there at 3:25. Upon walking into the restaurant, the hostess tells us that they are closed. I explained that I called earlier and was specifically told they were open until 5. Read moreEl Sombrero at 230 TX-243 B, Canton, TX 75103 is a great place to eat. We ate lunch and we had the beef fajitas and nachos wow you will get your moneys worth and served hot and very juicy and a mixture of great flavors. The beef on the nachos was fantastic with a mixture of other items added such as guacamole, sour cream, onions, tomato and a white sauce that was fantastic. The fajitas came out sizzling and very tender with fresh condiments and rice and beans that were very tasty. We have also had breakfast here too and we enjoyed everything about it. The place was very clean kind of old fashioned but well kept with no waiting and the service was wonderful. We got our meal quickly very little waiting and the parking lot was easy to get to and such a cute spot here in Canton Tx we highly recommend you try it. We will be back thanks for the...
