Board & Brush Creative Studio - Fort Myers — Attraction in Cape Coral

First visit was great! Second, not so. I expected another helpful staff and assistance. Now it was a different staff mostly standing around on their cell phones! Even the leader was on her cell and showed attitude at things. Perhaps she was overwhelmed. An email confirmation with the correct name arrived, but when I got to class, the name had a comma in it! I immediately notified staff thinking they would cut a new name (I had seen them do this for someone in the previous class). No attempt to correct it until last 10 minutes of class when someone cut the stencil and painted around it. She made a mess of it and said the mistake wouldn't be seen 'at a distance.' One girl screwed the hanging nails on the back of my sign in the opposite position of the stencil! She asked a young man if he would help her and he said No, laughed and walked away. She was not happy and I wasn't either. Paint brushes were crusted and sponges too. My friend was less than happy with tools and I apologized and told her this was nothing like the class I had taken before. Am left with a personalized sign I refuse to gift anyone. I expected happy attitudes and assistance, but they need to put their phones away and go to work. They just stood around and watched (and ate). If you wanted something, you had to 'bother' someone. I recently attended a Board & Brush workshop, and it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with everything perfectly organized. The staff was patient, knowledgeable, and eager to help, which made the crafting process enjoyable even for beginners like me.

The selection of projects and designs was impressive, with customizable options to make each piece truly unique. The materials provided were high-quality, and the step-by-step instructions made it easy to follow along. I especially appreciated the creative freedom to personalize my project with my favorite colors and finishes.

We booked 3 projects and had a family crisis come up that made it impossible for us to attend. We called prior to our event and could not reach anybody. We were told after the fact that we should have emailed, like we are mind readers or something, when they have a phone number in the confirmation email. They are now ghosting my emails and refusing to give us our project supplies that we paid for. We spent $214 (no refunds or credits, but I get that we had blocked a space somebody couldn’t fill so money would be lost if they gave credit or refund).
