I brought my 3.75ct, white gold wedding set to be resized. It has a spacer on the back, for resizing. I waited almost 20 minutes to be acknowledged, while the young man behind the counter and another customer went on and on about how "anti-maskers deserve to die" and several points around that subject. That was all they spoke about, from the moment I walked in until the moment the customer sat down.
I was told they would have to be cleaned before telling me the cost and if it could be done. Odd but, ok, whatever. He left with my rings and emerged, some time later, with a lot of info about the main stone that he could only get from loupe and/or testing. Why did he need to test the 3ct stone like that? Seems very shady to me. I actually worry about the possibility of a gem switch racket going on, at least with that employee. He then went on for several minutes, very loudly, about his opinion of my obviously inferior ring set. He just wouldn't let it go and made sure the other customer he was speaking with, earlier, could hear him belittling my set. I was finally told it would be over $620 to have them resized. I haven't had an resize done so thought maybe that was just the nature of the beast but literally everyone I've talked to said they paid between $50-$150 so...? I'm not a jeweler so maybe this is normal, I don't know but I am no questioning it. He said they would be ready in a few hours.
Anyway, when I got the call they were ready, I made another 30 minute trip to get them...only to discover they hadn't been resized at all. The rings still stopped right at the base of my knuckle in the same exact spot. The new gentleman helping me pulled out the sizers and verified the size they should have been but weren't. No apology, no acknowledgement, just a "they will be ready for you tomorrow".
Just after noon the call came they were ready. Again, no apology, no mention of the error, no explanation, nothing. This time they were sized correctly and slipped right on, looking as if they hadn't been resized at all, which is a testament to the quality of the workmanship, at least. I will also add that the only blatantly rude person that seemed shady was the younger man working the counter when I first came in.
I would not go back and am concerned about the integrity of at least the one employee. It was a very upsetting experience, start to finish (though I am happy with...

They’ve been in the business a long time but are not jaded! And every time I asked, ‘can this be done?’ they said ‘bring it in and let’s take a look at it’.
They are professional, reputable and HONEST. With more than one piece they told me – this is worth too much…keep it – don’t get rid of it, or if we do it like this it’ll be a more reasonable cost for you.
In addition, they are super fun and kind and truly interested in the relationship with their customers, NOT just the sale.
I can truly say they have gone above and beyond for me, and I trust them implicitly. Drop in for a watch battery or a ring cleaning and get to know them – you won’t need to go...
Read moreWe were told that Travis Jewelers was the place to go; and we did!
This family run jewelry store hit all the marks. We were looking to build a custom ring - using a very sentimental diamond, which we had made from a great organization called Life Gem. The diamond was made from the ashes of our beloved Tobey - our furry son. One in a million, and Travis Jewelers made a ring for us, that is so unique and so very beautiful it brings tears to our eyes. A brilliant yellow diamond, surrounded on either side by two smaller white diamonds, symbolic of the hugs we would give our Tobey every day. "Family Bonding Time" is engraved in the yellow diamond, held in place on the ring by four little cats paws. This wave patterned multi-stone ring is so unique, and breathtaking - pictures do not do it justice.
Let's talk about service - from the initial phone call, to the final fitting - has been nothing short of impeccable. Caring attitudes demonstrated by each family and team member encountered. Active listening skills, and attention to detail second to none.
Roberto gave excellent advice and ideas, his years of craftsmanship were evident in his thoughts about our ideas, and the previous examples of custom work, as well as his initial drafts. The final product exceeded our expectations - to which we had set the bar very high.
Kelly, was so kind, and together, they have assembled a business that models the graciousness and spirit of what an incredible family business (and indeed - all businesses) should exemplify.
Derek - an incredibly talented young man, designed the ring using AutoCad, so we could make the final decision. He is as personable as his parents - we had some wonderful conversations with this wizard of 3-dimensional jewelry design.
Thanks so much - we will highly recommend you and of course revisit too!
