I took my granddaughter here for our Saturday morning brunch date. The food, service, and place were absolutely amazing. I want to elaborate.
First, the restaurant was clean and organized; the tables and chairs were all very neat. The chairs were all angled at 45° to the counter at the sit-down bar area and looked VERY organized. Each table had a tiny little floral display on it. The walls had lovely artwork on them, and the place was immaculate. The attention to making sure this place looks nice was there. For example, in the restroom, the soap dispenser had a little decorative chain around the top to look ornamental, and instead of a paper town dispenser, there were folded nice napkins for your use. Very well done.
The service was exceptional, with the staff demonstrating high knowledge and attentiveness. Our server was well-informed about each menu item and was quick to offer a French press coffee before taking our food orders. To our surprise, she also brought us a delightful 'chef's gift' of a pumpkin curry gazpacho. This unexpected treat and the staff's friendly and professional demeanor made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as customers.
Now, let's talk about the food. I can only speak about the items we received, but our meals were excellent. I ordered a shrimp and crab Crepe (Parmesan incrustee Fruit de mer), and my granddaughter ordered a Nutella with banana and strawberry crepe. What surprised me was how beautiful the presentation was. The Crepe was served on a rectangular plate. For my Crab/Shrimp crepe, there was the Crepe, beautiful dollops of sauce (arranging from small to larger dollops as it went around the Crepe and a side salad with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette. My granddaughters were also served on a rectangular plate with the Crepe on one side and a bit of fresh whipped cream with Banana, Strawberry, and Caramel on top. The Crepe was dusted with powdered sugar, and there were two slices of thick-cut sweet bacon in the shape of an X on the other side of the plate. Wow, I was blown away and didn't expect this at all. We could have each brought half of the meal home but finished it there because it was so good.
There is no doubt in my mind that we will be back. This place was A1. As we were leaving, we went through the bit of seating outside, and I even noticed that someone sitting outside had a small rotating item over the table to reduce flies coming nearby if dining al fresco. They really thought of everything and went the extra mile to ensure the customer had a...
Read moreCome hungry and expect nothing like you've ever had! Chef Debi has flavor combinations that will outdo any other breakfast spot in Cape Coral. Come to this lovely crepe restaurant to be received in a genuine, warm, welcome and total attention to the details. Chef Debi is truly talented! Her husband Jack is so kind and generous. Marlene, the waitress is attentive to your needs, helpful with describing the menu and flavor profiles. We are almost embarrassed and regretful that we have passed by this hidden gem for years! My husband and I, along with 3 of our children were so well taken care of. Jack even brought out a toy for our 5 yr old. They have a cool little bar setup to be able to watch Chef Debi craft the crepes and plating. The finesse and passion she has is absolutely beautiful to watch and you can literally taste the love that she puts into all of it. Marlene came out with an amuse-bouche, she said it was a "gift from the chef". An amazing sample of Chef's gazpacho with a citrus cream delicatly placed on the top. We live in an area with plenty of chain restaurants... But so much more of smaller, locally owned restaurants that deserve a try. This will definitely be our go to place for breakfast/brunch! Thank you so much to Chef Debi, Jack and Marlene for being open on a tropical storm day. You made the Son Shine for the rest of our day! We will be back! May God continue to bless your beautiful hearts and the passion for...
Read moreI winter over in Cape Coral and have for months been talking about going to Crisp Creperie. Today I was finally able to go with a friend. From walking in the door until walking out, we were made to feel welcomed. Chef Debi's husband seated us and Justine was our server. Justine was a hoot, friendly and fun to talk to. We had several questions and Justine was able to answer every one. We settled on Jambon Classique (Black Forrest Ham, Fried Egg, Mozzarella, and Bourbon Maple Syrup). We split the crepe in order to enjoy one of their Sweet Crepes. The Jambon Classique was OUTSTANDING. And the Spring Mix Salad was so delicious made with their in-house dressing.
Chef Debi's husband (i didn't get his name but I think it is Jack) came over and chatted with us. He gave us the background on the restaurant, giving credit to his wife. He was such a proud husband.
Chef Debi and her mom came in while we were eating and her husband introduced us. It was a pleasure meeting her and her mom.
After finishing off the savory crepe, we ordered a Sweet Crepe, the Fraise creme de Citron. It was scrumptious, decadent, and so darn good.
I can't say enough about Crisp Creperie. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food was AWESOME.
If you are reading this and haven't tried Crisp Creperie, you are truly missing out. Go by and see for yourself, you won't be...
