My friend and I wanted to try Salvadoran food, especially since the place has such high rating.... well... Nobody speaks English there so we had to use Google translate to explain ourselves. And it all went wrong.
We each ordered margaritas. Me - banana, my friend - peach. I desperately tried to explain that I wanted it on the rocks, not blended. In a few minutes I was told that there was no banana do I charged my order to coconut. What we got was.... my friend got my coconut margarita and me her peach one BLENDED WITH TAP WATER and a glass of ice on a side. Coconut drink didn't taste awful, but peach one smelled like a toilet cleaner and tasted like a really horrible medicine. We returned it abs asked for another coconut one. Nobody asked us about a rim and we got very thick salt rim that was intolerable, we wiped it off, still it spoiled our drinks. Should I say we tasted NO tequila in our drinks?
For food we ordered tostadas. Me - steak, my friend - chicken. She got shrimp instead. Food took forever to come and when it appeared it looked tiny. At that point we were so hungry we didn't bother asking to replace my friend's food with what she actually ordered. The taste of food wasn't bad, hence I'm giving this place 2 stars not 1. But if we knew the dish was so small, we would have ordered more. We were going to a movie after that so there was no time to wait for more food to be cooked. Our waters came towards the end of our meals. Sauces were good.
We left hungry and sober. Will...

Read moreAlright... my wife insisted on trying this place since we have yet to find a place that makes great pupusas. I honestly had kind of given up... Well, we found the place, FINALLY! They sell Salvadorian and Mexican dishes but I was set to try their pupusas. Best ones since moving to SWFL 3 years ago. Sorry no pics of the food this time but I tried the Pupusa Loca which has everything they offer. It was good though I was expecting it to be larger, however, it was alittle larger than the regular pupusas. Wife and kids tried a variety of different ones and they were really good as well. They are now open on Sundays 11am-6pm. Give them a try.... Oh by the way, the server speaks English too, for those who go to a Latin restaurant and expects English to be the...
