Waffle House — Restaurant in Cape Coral

All of the waitresses are on point at this location. I am a frequent customer and have never had a bad experience with the service. Unfortunately, I almost always have to send back my food to Al the cook and district manager. Today was exceptionally poor on his part. He overcooked the eggs, as per usual, but that was caught by Carey before they came to the table. So upon receiving my food, my eggs were good!! But my hash browns were soggy and dripping in grease. My other guest also ordered hash browns and hers were perfect. When I asked for them to be remade, I was served again the same undercooked greasy hash browns. At this point, I got up and showed Al the good hashbrowns and asked him if he could cook mine to look like that. His response was that my waitress needed to ask for them to be scattered well next time. NO NO NO. Al, respectfully you are the one responsible here. Take responsibility for your mistake and cook the damn hash browns correctly. A simple sorry and cooked hash browns go a long way. Don’t worry though, I will be back frequently so you can work on improving yourself. We can strive for perfection...

Couldn't even hear the waitress to place the order the music was so loud. Went in 330 am for two meals to go , simple order , 3 scrambled eggs and 4 sausage patties with hashbrowns scattered smothered and covered each , no toast. Sat there on the bar stool and watching the ?chef? Only 2 eggs are in each, and not even mixed, you got to aggressiveness beat those things. 1 slice of cheese, little scoop of onion, and no gravy over the hashbrowns. After I was charged for this. The cook attempted to stir some together with a little egg frying pan, but turned my stomach watching powder poured into water, so I skipped the gravy, without a refund of course. Atmosphere sucked, and the food was less than average at best, I ate it, because you just don't go out at 330am for food if not hungry. I've been going here for years, and I've had bad experiences this past year it seems. I'm sorry but I'm thinking that some adult supervision would be awesome on the night shift. We went in here about 11:00 on a Wednesday. The place wasn't that busy. I ordered the All Star Breakfast. My hubby and I sat at the counter and watched our food being prepared. The waitress delivered my waffle, then the ham .... then I waited and waited for the eggs to come out....then the hashbrowns. The hashbrowns sat. They were supposed to be smothered in cheese...and she served them to me plain, we I mentioned something, the waitress replied, sorry I'm busy she took the plate of hasbrowns and had the cook slap a piece of cheese on top. All in all the breakfast was cold. Especially the waffle and the ham. A cold waffle isn't exactly appetizing. She kept refilling my husband's coke, but didn't have time to insure my breakfast was served in a timely manner and correctly? Too bad for her as normally we tip 25% -- I tipped her 10% and she was lucky to get that. We won't go back...
