I am so torn by this, I love this store. The prices were descent, the store is clean, fairly stocked considering the economy at the present time, and big enough to get around easily. With that being said tho, the staff today when my husband, children, and I went, was unfriendly, unhelpful, and appeared to be less then concerned with anyone's questions. I didn't think we would ever get any help with weedeaters and when we finally did I thought my husband was going to walk when he asked a question and mid sentence staff turned around to answer another customer that came to the counter. The cashier would scan a couple things bag them then stand there with the bag and not say a word nor fill more then one bag at a time, then when I finally looked up from dealing with the kids she just looked disgusted and upset like she had to wait. Mind you we had 2 carts and 2 adults, so things could of easily been placed in the other cart that my husband had. This was my first experience in this particular store, and no matter what I need, if that's how it is in there, I will continue going to the other farm stores in Cape area or being from Illinois, I will go to Carbondale. I am not going to a store that I have to hunt for people to help me and then they are unconcerned with helping after finding them. Recently had a bad experience when trying to purchase a 5 x 8 mesh trailer that is currently advertised as being sold. I called the store and was told they have them in stock. After I got to the store I was informed that they didn't have that item in stock and they had no way to even order the trailer to the store. Then they kept trying to get me to buy a more expensive trailer instead of the one I wanted. I called 8 other Rural King stores & they don't have the trailer I wanted in stock. I'm not even sure if this item exists, or if it's just used to get people into the store to spend more money on something similar but more expensive. Either way, I don't think I will be doing much if any business at this store in the future. Hopefully everyone else will have better experiences at Rural King than I did.

Unfortunately I decided to shop at Rural King again.. Any idea how to get the stupid stickers off the pants they sell? We have been picking at this sticker the past 45min. Dumbest part is there were 2 of the same exact stickers on them. We got the 1st one off in like 20min. But this one is half impossible to get off & we are damaging the material trying to...

Went in to buy chicken feed. The cashier was rudely asking me questions when I was on the phone with my dad's doctor. Came back later with my dad after his surgery and the same cashier was working & the only cashier working. I had 2 bags of corn my dad needed on the flat cart. Cashier was busy talking to everyone checking out. The line was backing up real good. Cashier called for help and this young girl came to check. I got in her line first with the 2 paper tags from the bags of corn. She wouldn't scan it. I told her my cart was stuck in the other line. I want to pay and go. She started ringing up the people behind me. I went back to my cart and managed to get it pulled to the customer service desk. They wouldn't ring my item up. I went back in line. Both lines was backed up. That older cashier was still carrying on full blown conversation with the customer and not in no hurry to getting the line a moving. I left my cart and walked out and won't be back. I went to the tractor supply store and had better service and the prices was cheaper for the same amount of product.
