QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

Paid $14.45 for a sloppy, dry, unappetizing burrito and tea. The girl who assembled my burrito must have been new so I won’t complain about that part. I will complain about the 6 others working the store that seemed to ignore the new girl struggling. This was my first time at a qdoba, so I asked repeatedly if this or that was an upcharge. The girl had no idea. Half of my chicken was burnt to a black crisp, along with some partially cooked pieces. One bite of the burrito was nothing but an actual price of charcoal, or what tasted like charcoal. I’ve also never been to any mex place that won’t grill a burrito for you. I asked what size the drinks were because menu just states regular or large. Girl said she had no clue about that either. Seems the basic necessities of employee training failed here. Floor was also sticky and disgusting and I could smell cigarettes from across the counter. Unfortunately my 1st and last time...

The food was really good, hot and fresh. The service, however, left a bit to be desired. None of the 3 employees we encountered while placing our order acted as if they really cared or wanted to be there. We may or may not go back again.

As of today, because of this posted, I have been contacted by Qdoba management, and they have gone above and beyond to make it right! Thank you!

01/11/2021- We returned to Qdoba this evening to give it another try. Each person we encountered was friendly, helpful with a smile on their faces and the manager, Matthew, made sure we had everything we needed as he was bagging our entrees to go. Lobby was clean and free of litter. Food was good, but wish I wouldn't have been rushed to choose my food as this was my first visit to the restaurant. They was a clearly new young lady working that was being huffed at by fellow workers and at one point told to "move" so someone else could "just do it" instead of guiding her. We truly didn't mind that she was learning. Some of those workers need a lesson on being friendly/kind to co-workers. I didn't catch her name but I felt so bad for even stopping to eat because of how harsh she was treated.
