Couch Potato — Local services in Capitola

Wow, I think I've written like 3 reviews in my life! Period. I'm reviewing about 4 months after we received our couch from couch potato so I can give a more wholesome review about our process in ordering a couch as well as how it's holding up. First off, they have a pretty huge selection and the prices are SO reasonable. I feel like they are definitely in a similar price range to somewhere like costco, but to me this place felt like a no brainer. Jackson has a great adaptability for your shopping experience; he's super friendly and helpful, but not an overt presence/standing over you while shopping. The couches themselves are mostly made to order (is my understanding) so for example if you wanted an "L" shaped couch, you can decide which side the chaise is on, pick the pattern/material it's made from, etc. I came in 3 times, the last 2 times with my partner and Jackson was wonderful despite our hemming and hawing as a couch was a pretty big purchase for us. We did a payment plan which he offered us, super helpful and easy. He also threw in quite a few pillows. Now everyone who's visited us asks where our couch is from and I get to rave about couch potato. The first couple nights we had it my partner and I both fell asleep on it (normal for me but not for him). Always a good sign. We still regularly express to each other how happy we are we got this couch; it's a very welcome addition...

The greeting is friendly but not pushy, in a relaxed atmosphere. I felt welcome to take my time testing out the furniture. No pestering sales tactics. Hallelujah!

Jackson had answers to all my questions, and suggestions for available options regarding upholstery and additional sizes. He knows his product lines very well. He was flexible with the delivery schedule, communicated when he promised to, and provided delivery updates when I called. Professional and kind. So refreshing!

Exceptional customer service. Couch Potato has a large variety of sofas that can be customized in so many ways to fit your space/comfort. I have a somewhat unique size sectional I was shopping for and when I found the one I wanted, high grade leather, L-shaped with a storage ottoman, the price was a bit out of my budget. Jackson, the owner was beyond helpful in finding ways to accommodate my budget while still meeting the size/shape. He gave an extremely thoughtful and detailed list of options to find my perfect couch.
