I had my Mortgage Company, PNC, over collecting my hazzard insurance by 25% and in addition continuing to charge Mortgage Insurance Premiums for 6 months after my paying my loan down to 52%. I requested the removal, paid $250 to recast my loan and couldn't get help once they recast but didn't delete the premium nor correct the over billing of hazzard insurance. They of course applied my additional $50,000 I sent in November of 2019, as of May 2020 still not corrected. As of 78% of loan value they are supposed to automatically remove as a flagged item, they had to bypass this. At this level although I requested the removal, it was not necessary by law. I called the bank for help, customer service made out like these were issues I didn't do correctly. I knew the laws, numbers and percentages and couldn't get it corrected. They were collecting what was almost 18% too much monthly. I asked for a supervisor and couldn't get one. To this day that person in a supervisor position has never called me back.

BBB handled this and my corrections were made quickly by an executive mortgage laon officer. My calculations were within 50 cents of what it should be. I am very pleased with the BBB and being an equalizer to these huge corporations.

In May of 2024 I used ALL my Sons Moving and Storage of Pittsburgh, PA. TO move my belongings from Butler,PA. to Steelton, PA. paying over 1800.00. The move was scheduled, myself and my family packed all my own things, the only things they had to do was secure dresser drawers put my big screen tv in a box, and pack a truck. They said it would be an over nite job. I also planned to be at the location the next day. When they got to the location my sister was there to receive my things. She told me they just tossed the boxes on a pile and some of the boxes were ripped and damaged even the fragile marked boxes were tossed. My sister had to tape some back up.there were three individuals at my home in Butler and two at my sister's house. Before I left my home in Butler I gave each of the three a tip only to find they went thru all my things took what they wanted and from throwing the boxes broke three valuable things. When I called the company to report this they sent me a tiny form to my email expecting me to download it on a printer or computer instead of sending it like a professional in the mail. I had no access to do so. Someone called and said they were investigating the matter give them information on how to reach me all my sons had my information they knew how. When Cindy from the BBB called us at our business about a customer complaint we were excited to tell our side of the story. All of the things we did to take care of this customer, to avoid the need to file a report or leave a negative review. All the things we are lead to believe the BBB stands for. Much to my surprise, Our side will only be shared if we pay the BBB a fee. But the customer review will be added to there site at no charge. If I pay them they will suppress negative reviews and promote positive ones. That seems like extortion? certainly misleading about the nature of your "non profit" company. I hope that you unbiasedly post reviews and complaints to your website so as to not mislead any other hard working American small family owned and run company.
