I recently moved to Carolina Beach and needed to buy some beach gear. I was going to order on Amazon but figured I would spend a little more and shop local. I ended up buying 3 beach towels, 3 beach chairs and some beach games...spending over $250! The one Palm Beach Chair fell apart on one arm the second time I took it to the beach (the screws fell out). In looking the chair over it was defective. Only 2 screws were inserted and there was no 3rd screw threaded in the middle attaching the arm to the chair. I went back today to exchange the chair as it was clearly defective. The girl at the register (whom had originally ringed me out) got the manager. The manager said since I didn't have a receipt I was out of luck. I said the girl at the register remembers me as I just bought these. The manager didn't care and said since a week has gone by that there were no refunds or exchanges. Unbelievable. I knowingly spent much much more shopping local and this was how I was treated. They are the ones who sold a defective product that wasn't properly assembled. By the way I found the same exact chair at Walmart for $27...I spent more than double that at Wings. I will still shop local but I will never do business with Wings again and will be sure to spread the word of how they treat...
   Read moreThere was a sign on all the racks of sandals "buy one get on free". Apparently that meant buy one sandal get one free, because they told us that was only for the "other kind", tho it was on the rack that had almost all sandals of the type we bought. Ok, we bought them anyway. The next morning, the one of my wife's separated. We took them back and were told we have to have the receipt. We went and got our receipt and my wife went back to the store. The manager told her that those sandals were too worn, and they wouldn't replace them. When she asked"are you kidding me??" He told her to leave.i went up there afterwards, and he also told me they were too worn. I told him I just bought them yesterday, look at the receipt. He refused to even look at it, and also asked me to leave. I wasn't very nice after that, told him obviously he needed that money more than we did, and left both pairs on the counter. We will never shop there again, and I will also be contacting corporate, as I have read quite a few of these...
   Read moreOver all I loved the designs of the shirts & how friendly the staff was! But I had an issue with one of the shirts when I was checking out, I noticed there was a string under the vinyl, which would've caused it to peel soon after washing it. The staff made me another shirt, so that was fine! Later I returned home(KY) & wash all my shirts I purchased on my trip. I realized after the first wash (washed inside out, cold water, delicate wash, hung to dry) that there was a huge hole coming out on the viynl of the shirt. I contacted the manager to make it right, or see if he could ship my the design and I'd press it on a shirt myself & he refused! I even offered to pay for shipping to me! After this experience I will not return to any wings at any of my traveling locations. Wings use to have better deals, but $20 dollars on a shirt I won't even wear is ridiculous! I'll pay the price for quality & you wont find...
