I hate leaving negative reviews and I've gone back and forth on writing this one, but I feel like I should. First of all, most of the staff has never been anything but kind and welcoming. They usually greet me with a smile and see if there's anything I need help with. There are many good deals and I almost always buy my beauty supplies here. My issue is with the salon. I went in a few months ago for a trim, and the stylist ended up doing her own thing and turning it into this bob with the back really short and the front long. She had mentioned a long bob to me and seeing as that's what I already had, I said sure but that I didn't want a drastic change. There was nothing long about this bob except the front. When I saw her initial cut I about fell over at how many inches she chopped. Then she just went to town chopping all over the place. I kept asking how much she was cutting and she was telling me it wasn't as much as it looked. Well, I felt bad complaining much because she was really sweet and seemed super proud of the haircut. I just told myself it would grow and not to see this stylist again. I let my hair grow back some but due to the crazy, uneven haircut I had previously received, it grew back completely messed up and uneven. I called and scheduled another appointment with a different stylist. I arrived about 5 minutes early for my appointment and walked towards the salon and was greeted by one of the ladies working in the store. As I walked back I told her I was there for an appointment and she told me to have a seat and the stylist would be with me shortly. Well, the stylist didn't acknowledge my presence or anything, but I sat down anyway. I waited nearly an hour and nothing was said by the stylist. She just kept chatting it up to her current client. So I went to the front desk and asked if they could help me out and figure out how much longer it would be because I didn't want to approach her in front of a client. The stylist said it would be at least another hour. Keep in mind this was an hour after my appointment was supposed to start. I told her thank you but I was going to have to go. Not too happy with my experience...

I went in to do a return And when I went in there I was there less than 5 minutes and there was a woman I found out later was a manager was following me around and asked me literally 5 times in less than 5 minutes if I needed help with anything so annoyed I went to the register to handle my return and while the associate was helping me she rudely came up and pushed him off his register and said I'll take care of this and I said no thank you he is helping me just fine I'll have him handle it and she would not let him. After I give her the receipt which was paid with my debit card she said she could not give me cash she could only refund me on the debit card which I know is absolutely not true I had so much stuff going on that day I did not have time for unnecessary issues with some rude woman who was obviously discriminating against me because I didn't have my make up on or my hair done I must not have been up to her standards or something I don't know but it inconvenienced me to the point I had to go to a different Ulta where I was greeted and assisted by an extremely professional friendly associate and manager who told me what I already knew which was there is absolutely no reason why the other lady could not refund me cash with my debit receipt. I am so appalled and embarrassed by this whole experience It just amazes me to see that places like Ulta dont have a higher standard when it comes to how the customers are treated and by a manager even. I think she said her name was Urma she was a shorter latino woman at the Ulta on Josey and George Bush in Carrollton. I work in customer service and like I said I am just totally appalled.UPDATE!!! I actually went back to the same Ulta to find the same rude woman Urma working. Again she followed me around the entire time I tried to shop it is so degrading and humiliating to be treated like I am not welcome. I will not shop there again as long as that rude woman works there. As a matter of fact I went to another Ulta where they care about customer service and was refunded ...

However I was bored with having brunette hair and I wanted something different so I decided I wanted silver/charcoal hair. I work 2 jobs and this whole covid19 biz so it was very difficult to get an appt. During my session I showed photos and they never said once they didnt have the color until AFTER they bleached my hair. I was literally GOLDEN BLONDE for a week! The hair stylist after turning me golden blonde said she'll call me when she picks up the hair color the following day. So for a week I called for follow ups. I heard NOTHING FROM HER til the 6th day of calling her. I setup another appt a week out. The second appt she worked on me and a another customer at the same time. However we looked at swatches this time and I was happy to see something similar to the color I was looking for. The whole 2nd session the hair stylist hyped me up however she wouldnt let me see the finished product til after she styled my hair. I was COOL BLONDE. I honestly wanted to cry in the chair. But I am not a confrontational person and she was very sweet/proud of her work so I waited a week bc of work. It has been over a month almost 2 months now and I have called over 5 times to speak with a manager but there is NEVER A MANAGER TO SPEAK TO.I honestly want a refund at this point and I am throughly exhausted seeing myself blonde. I wanted to be a gothic babe instead I'm BLONDE. And trust me everytime I would call in they said it would be while to hear back from the manager but I NEVER heard back. So I'm done. Hundreds of dollars down the drain for something I didnt ask for. My virgin hair turned into a disaster and I'm going to a different place entirely now bc this...
