I even found out recently that I could have ordered a spa from my previous dealer in southern California! I didn't know - I just assumed I had to use the Hot Springs Spa store in Carson City. Terrible customer service from beginning to end. I would give no stars if I could. Last year I was in the process of moving into this area and wanted a Hot Springs Spa installed by mid-July. I'd had one in California and was very happy with it AND Valley Hot Springs in Murrieta, CA, where I'd purchased it in 2005. First, I inquired online in mid-May - but heard nothing back. In June, the next time I was in town, I went into the store to make my purchase. The owner, Tony Degrasso, found my email in his Inbox. ("Oops") I ordered the spa with steps, cover, and an ozonator, which makes keeping the chemicals balanced a breeze. Tony hemmed and hawed - he tried to sell me a spa he had in stock, but I'd done my research and knew what I wanted. He had recommendations for the hot tub prep and electrical that needed to be completed before a July 15 delivery. 6 weeks should have been PLENTY of time!. I called his ground prep guy and he scheduled us for the 1st Wednesday in July. He never came out to LOOK at the yard or give an estimate. And then he was a no-show....no phone call and I never could reach him. I was able to find someone on my own, and it was completed that week! Tony's recommended electrician also never returned my calls. After nagging and nagging Tony, he managed to scheduled him for specifically when I told him I would be out of town, so I high-tailed it back 500 miles and it was done the following day, Sunday, July 17. The spa was now scheduled for Monday, July 18, then July 19 and finally, it was delivered on Wednesday, July 20. BUT ..... it was missing the steps and a starter kit of chemicals! By this time, any calls from me found Tony either 'with a customer' or 'not in the office'. He avoided all calls and left his staff to deal with my frustration. It took over 6 weeks for the steps to finally be delivered. Then, after about 2 months of real difficulty with the water balance (NO TROUBLE WITH MY PREVIOUS HOT TUB) I took off the front panel to see if debris had gotten into a line, and that's how I discovered that the ozonator, a $250 special order item, HAD NOT BEEN INSTALLED!! That took over 4 weeks before it was installed. I think the delays were to avoid any extra delivery charges. He just put me off until he had a full truck full being delivered. Tony and his staff are absolutely amazing! Not only did he give me the best deal on the hot tub I've had my eye on for years, but he really went above and beyond to make sure I was extremely happy. I live about an hour and a half from his store in Carson but he made sure to stay open late for me just to make sure I loved the spa before he delivered it. The delivery was fast, and the techs that delivered it explained everything i i need to know about owning the hot tub and we're very helpful. They made sure all my questions were answered! Plus after they left, the owner Tony called me to make sure everything went well and that I was happy with my purchase. Couldn't have asked for a better experience :) I definitely recommend anyone looking into buying a hot tub to stop by and see them. Read moreI purchased my Prodigy hot tub with Salt system from Hot Springs Spa 1.5yrs ago to handle the deep snow winters in Tahoe. I have been very impressed with the high performance where the tub insulation consistently rides through freezing power outages without issue, the salt system is low maintenance product without need to drain all winter. Throughout the process the Hot Spring Spa team has been professional, courteous and friendly. At no time was I pressured into my purchase. I highly recommend Tony and his staff at Carson City Spas to anyone who is thinking of purchasing a hot tub as they stand behind their warranty. At 6mo my shell developed a rare crack causing severe leaking, and the team replaced the tub for a new unit at no charge rather than simply repair.
