I think it is important for people to know that the many negative reviews for this place were from a time when a very nice older man who did not want to give up his business was ill and dying. He has since passed away. The new owners as of early 2024 are very engaging, responsive and talented based on my recent interaction with them. They will soon be stocking a full line of jewelry but at the moment are just delivering services as they await permits and complete reconstruction of the physical space. Altering my watch band took place while I was standing there and the price was very reasonable. I plan to return. For now, their hours and days are limited: Tues, Weds, Thurs, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. But I presume once they are up and running full time the schedule will change. So perhaps it is best to check with them about current operations. For me, I was thrilled to find a small independent jeweler who can perform services (watchband adjustment, battery changes, ring resizing, etc.) without delay and at a...
Read moreJust a heads-up if you're thinking about bringing valuable or sentimental jewelry to this shop.
I brought in a diamond necklace for a simple chain repair. It ended up getting lost, and I wasn’t told right away. I made several trips expecting to pick it up, only to find out, right before leaving for vacation, that it had gone missing.
Todd and Charae are friendly in person, but communication throughout the entire experience was seriously lacking. I was eventually compensated, but that does not make up for the sentimental value of the necklace.
A few weeks later, Todd called to say the necklace that had been "temporarily misplaced" was found. Since then, I have followed up with texts, calls, and even a letter, and I still have not received any response. I do not know if the necklace was actually recovered, and the whole thing feels confusing and unresolved.
Just sharing my experience. I personally would not trust them with anything...
Read moreTook my ring to them a few years ago now, and I was finally able to get the work they had done fixed by another jeweler. The ring was originally too small and needed to go up about a full size. After they were finished resizing I tried on the ring, and it was even smaller than before. When I told them, they said that I requested the ring to be resized to that smaller size, which in-turn meant that they took gold out of the ring. After explaining my request again, they were super upset that they had to redo the work. Their solution was to stick my ring on the resizing rod and hit it with a hammer to stretch the gold to larger size. The bottom of the band was so thin, it was unwearable. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, and the fact that it has several 5 star ratings is very deceiving. On top of it all, they were...
