Johnny's Upholstery — Local services in Carson City

Have had a number of upholstery jobs done here over the years including furniture and camper canvas. Had always had super friendly customer service and the work was always top notch and affordable. Several months ago we went into see about having our boat bimini cover re-made. The young man was very friendly and brought out sample fabric and we chose a fabric. He told us we would hear from the owner when he came back in the following week. We never heard back so my husband called today and the owner told him there was no record of our visit and we needed to bring it back in to get an estimate. When we arrived he acted ANGRY at us for even coming in to his business. He told us several times that the fabric from our current bimini is "not even water proof!". My husband explained that it is used as a shade device and that was the fabric from the original. He unfolded the bimini (it is 65 inches by 72 inches) and in a gruff tone told us - it will be $350 in that fabric. My gosh! I didn't pay that for the entire rocking chair I had done the last time I was in there for work. He acted angry throughout the entire interaction. I found Johnny's upholstery through Google Maps search function. They have a solid star rating I brought in a pillow and a cushion from a particularly favorite chair of mine.
