Loa Carniceria — Local services in Cartersville

Big selection of items we bought a box a candy a week ago and obviously didn’t think to keep the receipt. Not many places in town sell boxes if said candy. Well, the packaging was bad on all of them they were not properly sealed and tasted awful/rotten and not edible but were not past expiration date. So we tried to return them or exchange for something else and they claimed they couldn’t do anything since it had been “so long”. I’m sorry but I’m not going to drive six miles back if I don’t need to just to make an exchange. So that money just went to the garbage. Keep your receipts or try everything before you throw your receipt away. Also they were not handing receipts for a very long time before and I’m sure I was overcharged for something one time because it ended up being like $30 for some veggies and a pack of tortillas and the lady was too busy chatting on her phone and just looked at me funny. I didn’t want to cause a scene and that was my fault for not saying anything and of course they were not giving receipts at the time which is why I’m hesitant to go there to go there to begin with. I was surprised when I got a receipt last time I went. Someone must have said something to them about it. I only go there because the butcher shop is awesome but not anymore. I’ll be going to one of the other...

The service is awesome, its right next to where I live and I currently dont have a working vehicle so it has been a blessing to have a market that has most of the items I would need. Also, even though I can speak a tiny bit of español, I am not fluent enough to hold a real conversation; my worries were laid to rest due to the realization that 98% of the employees could speak English and very well. Obviously, the products they sell are not typically brands or items most of us are accustomed to, however that is sometimes part of the thrill I enjoy because I am able to experiment and try new foods.

The best parts other than the friendly staff that I have come to know and love are the meat section and the "Home cooking" that they serve in the restaurant-like side. They make AMAZING tamales, chicken/beef/pork quesadillas, and PLENTY of items that are not typically found in the Americanized restaurants.
