Let me tell you how the Manager of this store, Carolyn, ruined the trip to Target for me and my daughter. I came to this store with my 7-year old daughter looking to get her one or two small toys as a reward for finishing a difficult studying course she was taking. As we looked through the small doll aisle I saw a couple small barbie dolls with “clearance” sticker on the hook but not on packaging itself but also the same brand and the same packing dolls with full price sticker. At that point I realized that I needed to scan individual doll prices to find the ones on sale. I tried using my Target app on iPhone on three same series dolls and one came full price, one came discounted but higher than the store ticker and another one didn't scan at all. Now I realized that I need to find somebody with a scanner to find the ones actually on sale. I didn’t use store self-service scanners because one of them was physically ripped off the pole it was supposed to be attached to and another one was showing MS Windows interface so clearly out of commission. So I went to a group of three employees in red Target shirts and asked if one of them could come over to the toy aisle (10 feet away) to scan the toys to find a couple that were truly on sale. One of them reluctantly agreed. And started pulling her cellphone, not the scanner, as we started walking. I mentioned that I already tried scanning using the Target app but she didn’t react to my comment. As we came over and started scanning, the same story repeated as with my phone app - one came full price, one was incorrectly discounted and one didn’t come up at all. When I pointed at an incorrectly discounted doll she said that she was showing the correct price. I asked if there was somebody nearby with a Target scanner to check the in-store price, which OFTEN is different from online price that Target app shows, she told me “no”, and she was helping another customer when I pulled her away. I replied that I am a customer too. To that she replied with an attitude that if I really (!) wanted she could go and get a scanner. I told her that with that attitude I don’t need her help to check for price discounts anymore. I then used Target App to find two dolls that were indeed on sale, although showing incorrect (higher) price and headed to the registers across the store. As I came to the register section, I saw Carolyn talking to the same (!) two employees so I stopped by to ask which one of them was a “customer” who she rushed to help. I also asked to speak to a store manager. Guess my surprise when she told me SHE was the store manager. So I told her she should expect my store review shortly. I then headed to the register for customers with a few items since I had only two dolls to pay for. But as the cashier called me to come over and pay, she interjected and said she’ll ring me up herself. Fine, I just wanted that evening to be over. Of course, the dolls were properly discounted when she rang them up so I just paid and started walking toward the exit. My daughter seeing me being upset (but not being able to swear in front of her) asked me what was wrong. I started saying to my daughter that I was upset with that lady because she wasn’t doing her job BUT… the store MANAGER had the AUDACITY to shout out to our backs interrupting (!) MY reply to My daughter “it’s OK sweetie, he’s just upset with me but you have a good day”. At which point I turned around, told her only “stop talking to my daughter IMMEDIATELY”, and left the store immediately. I think this person should be demoted to janitor immediately as she has NO CUSTOMER...
Read moreCustomer service here is a -10, I have never felt so disrespected in my life at a store. I went to pick up an order, which, this was my first time picking up an online order, so I didn't know how it worked. I went to the service area and once there was an open register I said I was here to pick up an order. The attendee didn't acknowledge me, look at me, speak to me, nothing. She stood there looking at other people, the computer, the receipt machine, the scanner, everywhere but at me. I thought she was finishing up something that was important or opening some sort of system to then look up my order, but a couple minutes later she said "you need to give me the information." She once again didn't even look up at me, so I was confused and also didn't appreciate how she snapped at me, as if I was supposed to know what she needed, especially as I had been waiting patiently for her to say anything to me. The entire time I had my phone in front of her, with the confirmation information for the order, in her line of vision, yet she chose to ignore it and be short with me. Once I responded she just walked off without a response, so I was again unsure what was happening. Time went by and she eventually came back and handed me my bag from the side, not even back at the front of the register, and again proceeded to ignore me. I felt horrible about this experience when I had done nothing but walk up to the register, yet was treated like my existence was an insult to the cashier. This made me unsure of if I will go back to this target, even though it's the closest one to me. I understand we all have bad days, but this was too much and such a poor experience.
Besides this 4pm on a Sunday poor experience, this Target is very clean and they have a great selection of items. Their self checkout lanes are also great and usually empty, so if you're up to self checkout, you can be in and out in no time.
3 stars because the 0 stars for customer service bring the overall...
Read moreThe ONLY reason I'm giving this Target 5 stars is because of the really nice lady on register 2 (two) guess services, (Liila.) As a matter of fact I encountered several nice people in this Target. I wish I had gotten ALL of their names. Really good customer service is so hard to come by. All it takes is for one rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel.
I went to this Target to do a little bit of shopping. When it was time for me to checkout. The one lane that was open was very busy. I encountered a lady on guess services register 1 (one). Her name is Janika & she let it be known that she was from Massachusetts. She got very loud with me in front of a BUNCH customers when I said to her "you don't have to have an attitude" & I also said to her, "you don't have to be so loud." Janika's reply was, "I'm loud because I'm from Massachusetts, ." REALLY? What does that matter where you are from when it comes to giving good customer service?
The reason ALL this happen was because on the back wall were all of the Christmas mdse is located there were items price at 50% off & they came up a different price at the register. I even took pictures because this happens a LOT. I even showed the pictures & Janika gave me a hard time.
The other lady named Liila was very nice.
Target has a lot of competition. The amazing part about ALL of this is, people do not have to shop here, people choose to shop here. There are times that your BIGGEST competitor have better sales than you all. Because of Ms."Loud I'm from Massachusetts" attitude. I'm so sorry, but I'm...
