Tibetan Himalayan Gift Shop — Local services in Cary

This shop is amazing--packed with incredible merchandise priced very reasonably. A great place to find clothing and gifts that you cannot find anywhere else unless you are ready to travel to Tibet! Maybe the best part of the whole shopping experience was the owners. They are lovely people--friendly, extremely helpful and just genuine people. They helped us find what we wanted, made us tea, and were simply beautiful people. I stress this latter point only because I noticed a pretty bad review by someone that was in the store a couple of days ago when I stopped by for my first visit. The little store was packed with people doing Christmas shopping and there was little room to walk around and they seemed to be just chatting away and not shopping. Beautiful, well-decorated shop that had everything I was looking for (and much more!) for extremely reasonable prices, and the owner was wonderfully kind, informative, and helpful. They had everything from tapestries, books, incense, statues, clothing, jewelry, some small furniture, musical instruments, singing bowls, CDs, home decor, and signage. This shop is not huge, but they pack a lot in a very well organized way (and even use labels! Yay!). We were welcomed in like close friends (it was my and my husband's first visit here) and the owner answered all of our questions and even made fantastic recommendations based on our needs and descriptions of what we were looking for (plus he made us fresh tea!). My girlfriend bought me a shirt and a headband from this place that was simply stunning. So, today we returned to look around some more. As soon as we walked in the owners offered us some lemon tea. I am not exaggerating when I say this, I had a headache from a hangover and this tea totally took it away. The woman at the front told me all about Tibetan history, she was so friendly, talkative and accepting. When you walk into this place you feel like family and they treat you as such. I ended up getting a moss agate bracelet that is just beautiful. Their prices are slightly higher in range (but not too bad) depending on what you buy.
