As a lover of Asian food, and a new comer of the city, I tried JS Chinese restaurant. My first encounter was 6-22-24 , I walked in the establishment and was greated, and seated. Service was fast and the food was delicious.
6-24-24 I returned to JS Chinese Restaurant, looking for the same experience. I was extremely disappointed in the service I received today. I walked into the establishment, "African American male , 48 years old" A Caucasian couple was in front of me. I was the next customer in line, and did not receive the same greeting as the individuals ahead of me. The tall gentleman asked, " Are you with them?", I replied, "no." Next he asked "What do you need?" I was like huh? I was confused by the question. Thinking, I need to be seated, to eat Sir. I looked at him with this look, as if this is a restaurant isn't it? The Caucasian couple looked at me like, Wow! The Caucasian Couple tried to make light of the awkward situation, I was eventually seated, and received my food. The other gentleman server passed my table several times, without offering to replenish my beverage, half way through my meal. Seeing that I pushed my cup to the edge of the table, empty. After trying to get the attention of any server, I was ignored. So I politely got up, walked to the register and paid my tab. I left half of the food on the table. I was totally disgusted. Never ever again.

On June 17th we ordered dinner from JS, I received my food and in the sesame beef there was a staple. I contacted the restaurant they said they would rectify the problem. On July 14th we again ordered dinner from JS. On this night the combination lo mein also had a staple in the food. I attempted to contact the restaurant, they would not answer the phone. I left a message and have had no attempt to rectify the problem. This time the staple punctured my tongue and caused damage to my gums. I have filed a report with the health department. I find this place to have bad practices when it comes to the safety of working with their food. We have eaten at these guys restaurants for a very long time. Obviously there is an issue going on in the kitchen. As I have received metal fragments in my meal two times in the last 30 days. This is obviously a risk to the...
Read moreNot my favorite place unfortunately. I picked up a takeout order for two lastnight around 7pm. The cashier was pleasant and diligent throughout the transaction process, and the place was dead except one couple sat in a booth, but it was cute inside. The food is where my problems begin; the egg rolls had to of been old(both homie and I took a bite and it tasted moldy), the egg drop soup is more of a corn chowder(never had egg drop with corn), the noodles had an unpleasant thick greasey coating on them, the fried rice was burnt with chewy eggs, most everything was bland, ordered two different entrées but got two of the same dish, and the breaded shrimp were something straight outta the dollar store frozen section, but the crab Rangoons were good in some sweet and sour. Had it been close to close or busy as heck I'd understand, but this was a huge...
