Steamboat Deli & Outlet — Restaurant in Casper

This little deli is a gem downtown! The staff is friendly and always willing to give a recommendation if you need one, but honestly there hasn't been a single sandwich I've tried that I haven't 100% enjoyed. The special of the day is posted outside on a whiteboard along with the daily soup with the standard menu hanging directly inside on the wall after you walk in. Ordering is easy and food is received promptly with minimal to almost no wait time. The value is incredible as well. These aren't your run of the mill average joe sandwiches. These puppies will rock your socks off. Every sandwich I've tried has been bursting with flavor and quality ingredients. Combinations of ingredients that I was skeptical about have blown my mind. You could close your eyes and pick anything on the menu and I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint. My favorites are the Cuban and the Chicken Salad. The dill in the chicken salad is incredible. Add in the cranberry walnut bread and it's heaven. A must try. My husband's hands down favorite is the Chicken Bahn Mi. If that's the daily special he's sure to get it every time. The food was decent. Sandwiches were pretty good. However the woman's attitude left a lot to be desired. We ate and was looking around had several shirts my friend and I were wanting to buy but left because of the female owner. We won't return. She made smart remarks in a demeaning manner about how i was wearing my mask. I fixed my mask to please her and apologized and said I can't wear it very long I feel like I'm suffocating breathing hot air. She made another demeaning remark so we left. We both won't return. First and last time trying the food here. I wanted desperately to find a good sandwich shop in Casper cause the franchise shops here are all mid, yet still better than this place. Tried the chicken salad sandwich, the chicken salad was the worst I’ve ever had. There was absolutely zero flavor, the most bland chicken salad I’ve ever tried. The sandwich only had chicken salad in the middle so half my sandwich was lettuce and bread, the bread was stale. The drinks were not cold, the lady working was short and unwelcoming. Only thing I got out of the over priced meal was the chips, rest went in the trash. Huge disappointment. This place makes subway taste good...
