This place has been my absolute FAVORITE place to get Mexican food. Everything I've had there is so authentic & delicious. However, the lady taking orders there this afternoon just completely ruined it for me. I tried to call in my order but after 6 attempts, I was still getting the busy signal, so I decided to just go there & order take-out in person. First thing I noticed, is the phone sitting off the hook (hence the busy signal.) I tell the lady at register I want to put in a to-go order & she tells me to give her a minute. After waiting 15 minutes to put in my order, she is literally having a full on conversation & completely ignoring me while I'm ordering. After repeating myself multiple times, she finally got my order, but then couldn't figure out how to use my card because it doesn't have a chip. I have used this same card to pay no less than 100 times at the exact same register. A group of 5 walked in during all of this & I'm told she has to take their order's and then can ring mine in. At this point, I'm extremely irritated with the service, but my pregnant girlfriend was really craving the Quesabarillia's on special, so I decided to wait. While ringing in the last of the 5 guy's orders' she sees I'm visibly upset & let's me know I'll be taken care of next. As he's paying her, 2 more people walk in, she looks at me, turns around and STARTS TAKING THEIR ORDER TOO! So after wasting my entire lunch, I still walked out empty-handed. I'm sad to say that I won't be going back any time soon, and if I ever do go back, if that girl is behind the register still, I'll be walking...
Read moreIt was going well until my mother received her order which she ordered a bowl of menudo. The meat was very undercooked and tough to chew, like chewing rubber. After bringing it to the cashier’s attention she asked if we needed a knife and we had to explain to her that it was tough to chew because it was undercooked. She seemed annoyed and offered to replace it with a different food option. She took off to the kitchen to put the order in and didn’t bother removing the bowl. A female worker (cook or food prep) walked to the counter with an upset expression on her face to see who complained about the menudo. AND THATS WHERE CUSTOMER SERVICE WENT DOWN HILL. She went about attending the side bar and cleaning, I had to remove the bowl front the table and carry it back to the checkout counter to which she then took it from me. The new food option was brought out and that wasn’t any better, flavorless, watered down broth but at this point we decided to not bother with a complaint since it was clear that it was taken personal and you could clearly see the attitude and change in customer service. I suggest passing on this spot if you don’t like the staff making it obvious that they are talking about you and get an attitude when you make one complaint about an...
Read moreDon’t bother with this location. Head down the road to 4015 market. After having a horrendous time at el arriero 1 in OGDEN with their horrible customer service ( pretty much told me to kick rocks the first time due to their apparently wonky online ordering system that likes to take your money and not put the order in? “can’t give you food if we don’t have your money” after I showed her both my bank account / side note she decided to scroll through it???! AND email receipt. Stepped outside to call in and ask to speak to a manager. Was hung up on. - Walked back in and finally got a manager on the phone and he did get her to refund the money. But the whole process of dealing with her was rediculous.) Anyways, decided to head to el arriero 2 since the lady answering the phone was so kind and helpful when I called to see if my order had went to the wrong location. Did not disappoint. Fast, fresh and friendly service. Will 100% recommend the 4015 location down the street over the OGDEN...
