ALL I WANTED WAS A FADE, ALL I GOT WAS 3 POUNDS OF GROUND BEEF AND A LITER OF DIJON MUSTARD. I entered the building with optimism, excited for my next haircut. Upon observing my surroundings, it became very clear that Josh was not, in fact, a barber. On the floor in front of me there was a piece of 8.5x11 paper, freshly printed (still warm) that read "Josh kinda kills people" in around 130 point Times New Roman font. Someone was sitting in the corner of the room swearing at a printer and hitting it with a hammer. I tried to get his attention "Hey!" He seemed to break out of a trance, suddenly standing up and saying "Oh, sorry, do we have a client? I'm Josh, what would you like? Sit down!" He ushered me to a nonexistent chair. I nonexistently sat down. I said "Just a fade for today chief" and waited. I didn't hear anything in response, and waited in my chair for about five minutes. After hearing nothing, I decided to investigate and found out that in Josh's place there lay a large bag of ground beef, about three pounds of it, and a large flask with around a liter of what smelled to be artisan quality Dijon mustard. I've been looking for a REAL BARBER since I moved to Castle Rock a year prior. I've had my beard trimmed by "stylists" who don't even own a straight razor. I've been cleaned up by grown men, advertising themselves as barbers who "don't do beards". Enough was enough. Made an appointment here and the job was done RIGHT. Loved the antique barber kit on the wall... it told me this guy was old school. When you're looking for a proper cut and beard trim, those two words are music to your face and head. He has been cutting hair in town for 20 years and his skill level shows. Feel like I found one of the last of a dying breed! Thanks! ...

My first visit the stylist keep tilting my head so there was literally a1 inch difference in length between sides, and overall it wasn't really what I wanted anyway. I called and the owner fixed it for me free of charge which was great and told me about how she does continuing education with her stylists. Today my boyfriend went 30 min before their posted closing time, the open sign was still in the window and when we said he wanted s haircut the stylist's face fell and she quickly said they had just closed.
