Stopped into the New Sprouts. At first glance the store appears bright, clean and well organized. Upon closer inspection there were things that bothered me. I saw a box of chicken breasts sitting out. It looked like someone had gotten half way through the box in placing the packages in the cooler and then stopped. The fish in the case looked like they had been there awhile. I thought the deli area looked good and I like the sandwich shop. Some of the odd ball items I look for were not there. For example, I look for prosciutto in the deli case... Not pre sliced packages. They didn't have any. (I think Ralphs is one of the few places that does have it). I also looked over the herbs. I like buying herbs in bundles, not in little packages. They had a few in bundles but not everything I would use. For example they didn't have any mint except prepackaged. I spent about 30 minutes in the store perusing the aisles... No one said anything to me.. not good morning, can I help you... Nothing. The pricing didn't seem to be anything special either. So I'm not sure why I would come here verses going to Albertsons where I can get everything I want. When I left the store, the box of chicken breasts was still sitting outside the cooler waiting...
Read moreDO not waste your money here. Produce not up to par, not a great selection in terms of variety of products, and employees randomly disappear. I was at self-check and had to wait 5 minutes for assistance. SO much so that I went back to look for something else, came back and he finally could come over to help me. Also weird interactions with staff. Some lanky kid started talking about me like it must be nice to have everything work out for you in life to his friend. Like because I went there to pick up a couple things I couldn't find elsewhere, my life was somehow perfect? Super weird. I ended up having to go all the way out to Jensen's to get the gluten free pasta, ginger, and a couple other items I wanted, because their boxes at Sprouts looked opened and resealed, and the dairy looked poked at and half melted for the cheese. Why? Save you money. When Aldi a store over has better produce than you do, something is wrong. And I know because I walked down to Aldi, and bought my organic grapes there. Skip this...
Read moreI recently had an experience at the Sprouts in Palm Springs with an employee named Baltazar that reminded me of a past encounter I had with Greg Pineland at the Claremont location. In both cases, the attitude toward customers appeared to be the same — avoid interaction whenever possible, only coming out when it benefits their own image, not to genuinely help shoppers. Baltazar gives the impression that he’s there just for a paycheck rather than providing good customer service. In my opinion, he would rather hide in the back than assist customers who need help. I recommend that someone in upper management at Sprouts take a serious look at his approach to customer service, as it reflects poorly on the store’s otherwise...
