Ernesto's Auto Service — Local services in Cedar City

I never write reviews, but I had to for this shop. I was driving through Cedar City to California. Unfortunately, my truck broke down right outside of Cedar City right on I-15. I was stranded. I called around to multiple places, but Ernesto was the only one who answered the phone. He said he would look at it even though it was after hours on a Thursday evening. I had the truck towed over to his shop.

He initially thought it was the engine. I decided not to stay in town because I though it was going to take a week to fix. One of his mechanics (who happens to be a US Marine) gave me a ride all the way to St. George that night so I could catch a flight. Uber wasn’t available.

The next day Ernesto called me and believed it to be the timing belt. He said he needed more time to make sure that there were not any other serious issues like a bent rod. He called me Saturday morning and told me my truck was fixed! He said there were not any other issues. I went back and picked it up on Sunday. It performed perfectly all the way to San Diego, CA without any issues. His rates were extremely reasonable and fair!

Ernesto's is the only automotive repair shop that I will take my Toyota and Chevy trucks to in Cedar City They rebuilt my toyota 4 runner's engine and warrantied the work. It runs like new and I was very satisfied with the work, the price and the quick turn around time it took to do so much labor. I just took (3/14/21) my Chevy in for a transmission leak, oil change and a broken shifter arm on the steering column. Once again Ernesto quickly identified the problems and correctly fixed all three problems. Ernesto came through when other service departments could not. My wife and I were stranded in Provo Utah when our motorhome broke down. He made us his priority even on a Saturday when it was clearly evident that he had a lot of other cars to service. Even went out of his way to give me a ride back to my hotel and again pick me up.
