Brynn greeted us when we walked in. WOW talk about incredible service. I’m super impressed. She even asked if we wanted the small amount of change back from the original receipt (we tipped her cash before she provided the change which is why it was impressive).
Place is beautiful, inside & out. It’s located in the heart of downtown cedar city & is very quaint & beautiful. It Is a very clean space, both inside & outside the restaurant & surrounding areas.
Although Brynn stood out because we did take out & only really interacted with her, everyone was polite & smiling (through the mask).
If you’re “Covid” friendly, this entire area is definitely for you. Staff wears gloves, sanitizes after each guest, & also practices heavily social distance (which was why we did take out. It was a 45 minute wait to sit down. Let me tell you, this place was packed! And the good kind.
Ok now for the food. I’ll be honest I was scared to try my vegan pizza. It did not look great. HOWEVER, WOW. Just WOW is all i Can say. The crust was exceptionally done. All their pizzas are brick oven, 12” personal size pizzas (6slices). I added fresh garlic & hot red peppers (incredibly flavored & just the right kind of hot).
The salad my buddy ordered was a solid good. It was the mixed greens with goat cheese, tomato, & dried apricots. He said it is definitely on the sweet side.
The sour dough bread. Deliciously prepared. I’m assuming it also came from the brick oven. Either way it’s phenomenal. The only thing was that it wasn’t hot which leads me to believe it wasn’t piping hot fresh. Don’t misunderstand it was still super fresh, soft, & tasty. Not a fan of that type of balsamic with it (& I LOVE balsamic) & the oil served with it was very tasty as well.
Lastly, we come to the Nutella dessert with what looks like chantilly cream. WOWZA!! Extremely sweet & amazing. It’s really just; just order it. Lol.
I completely forgot to mention while we were waiting, we had an incredibly tasty adult beverage; one of the most hoppiest brews I have ever had.
All this was takeout & was really just a beautiful. I want everyone to know that the reasoning behind giving 4 instead of 5 stars has absolutely nothing to do with the takeout experience. I do my very best to be neutral especially when reviewing a place that is as inviting & beautiful as this place.
Whenever I’m back in this area, rest assured we will be back!!! Thanks Team Centro! Appreciate all of you.

Read moreThey need to fire the cook. People come into Centro Pizza to pay top dollar for woodfired pizza. We ordered a gorgonzola salad, there was no cheese block, no bread, no vinaigrette. The salad had bacon, feta or blue cheese and sliced red grapes (not olives or anything Italian). Overall the salad was fresh and good. We paid extra for the gluten free pizza crust and wanted a Margherita pizza. The crust was terribly blacked/burned. Gluten free crust is flatter usually falls apart. This pizza was thick, gluey (not gluten free), and they did not put any cheese or meat on it unless you pay extra and specifically tell them you want meat and cheese. I was in awe when I saw my pizza had wilted Basil leaves and microscopic dots of non-dairy cheese with burnt crust. It tasted so bad. Even Little Caesars wouldn't do you like that. A six year old could make a better pizza. The pizza was terrible. Do not order pizza. The homemade root beer is excellent. The cannoli's I thought would have a cream filling. Surprise! It's pure frosting and way too sweet. The almond cake however did look pretty fabulous. I wish I would have ordered that. Despite having to serve horrible food the wait staff was kind and caring. The tables were turned in a position where you can hear every word a person says and it's extremely loud like a club. The music in the pizza place is loud like a bar so bring your ear plugs and learn to read lips because you won't hear anything the others at the table are saying. The atmosphere sucks. Everyone was eating outdoors because it was so bad. The only reason this place earned 2 stars was that the wait staff was nice, and the...
Read moreWe stayed in Cedar on a recent trip. At the request of other parties from our group we went to Centro Woodfired Pizzeria. I had my doubts, but it was ok. The biggest problem I have with many of today's woodfired Pizzerias is that the pizza tastes of burned flour. Maybe it's the time of day that I end up at this type of pizza place, or maybe it just always tastes of burned flour, I just don't know. It's like the massive stone or whatever they cook the pizza on never gets cleaned. Every pizza that goes through just picks up the burned bits of dusting flour left behind from every prior pizza. Centro was no different.
The parties at our table ordered the Pollo Rustico, Fennel Sausage, and Margherita Pizza. The Pollo Rustico and Margherita had good flavor, so long as you didn't get any burned dusting flour in the bite. The Fennel Sausage pizza seemed to have enough flavor to overpower the burned dusting flour. The dough was tender easy to chew, and as long as you weren't tasting burned flour, tasted just fine.
The rustic bread with herbed dipping oil was good. Our dipping oil had so much oil that we couldn't get to the herbs or balsamic vinegar until the bread was almost gone.
I think I would give this place another chance, but I would need to go early in the day to see if the burned dusting flour is just something that happens later in the day, or if it...
