Roy Talmage Builders — Local services in Cedar City

Three years ago, Mac and his crew from Roy Talmage Builders, built our home in a small community in Southern Utah -- twenty minutes from the town of St George. We were living out-of-state when our home was being built, which was difficult at best, but Mac often commuted from his home an hour's drive away to meet with us on the construction site at times convenient to us, and also in the overseeing of the building of our home. (Many builders out of St George that we had contacted earlier had turned down the job because we weren't building in a convenient enough location for them.) We appreciated all his efforts to communicate with us by phone, text, and in person.

We were building in the middle of the Covid pandemic, when building prices were beginning to soar. We felt that Mac did his best to help us keep costs down while still building a quality home. As in the building of any home, there were a few glitches that arose along the way, but Mac helped resolve those issues to our satisfaction more than adequately.

The architect working closely with Roy Talmage Builders, Megan Barth, met our needs and desires expertly, as well. Our home perfectly reflects the plans and dreams we had long hoped for.

During our three years living in our home, it has proved solid, safe, and efficient. We absolutely love our beautiful home, and are so pleased with how it turned out.

From what we'd heard before we started the building process, most people did not have good experiences and a lot would not recommend their builder. We had a totally different experience! In fact, we can't wait to do it again (though we love our home). And we will definitely use Roy Talmage Builders.

They were very good and responsive when we had questions, courteous about making sure we got what we wanted, and informing of us things we hadn't thought about (as simple as switching out the drains in our sink because the traditional plug/unplug lever would have been problematic).

If there were any issues, they did their best to take care of them in a timely manner. We got into our home in the time we expected and we absolutely love it!

He’s very knowledgeable and offered a reasonable cost projection up front. He communicated with us and educated us through the entire build process.
