Arrived more than 20 minutes before their posted closing time only to be turned away at the door because they’re “closed”. Not that big of a deal as I understand special events happen which sometimes you need to close early for (family weddings, store remodels, employee trainings, etc), but when asked if they did in fact close at their posted closing time of 7pm the employees simply said, “Not today.” When inquiring for further details of whether or not the store is usually open until 7pm so we could plan a future visit we were met, again, with “Not today”. What we initially brushed off as an isolated incident happened a second time while attending the July Jamboree Car show on Main Street. We tried to browse the store about 25 min before their closing time of 7pm and were met AGAIN with an employee saying “we’re closed”. Same story when inquiring about the 7pm posted time of a short and abrupt, “Not today.” I try to be pretty understanding of businesses and their individual needs, but this was a level of abrupt rudeness that I haven’t seen before. That’s why I’m not giving it 4, 3, or even two stars. This is a very simple customer service issue that can be remedied quite simply with a polite explanation, but rather was met with an aggressive response that left a very bad taste with everyone in our group. It’s pretty rare that I experience something so egregiously negative in the customer service arena. I hope nothing more than for the owner of the store to use this information to recognize, isolate, and remedy the issue so that other potential patrons don’t experience...
Read moreI would love to give this place five stars however I was met at the door by a rude employee. Instead of being welcoming he exclaimed "we do close in 20 minutes." Which I totally understand as I have worked in retail before. I hurriedly shopped through the store and found so many great things. I found a complete China set for a steal. I went up to the counter to check out at 5:50p still ten minutes from closing and he said he couldn't wrap all my items because you know they are closing. I didn't have the energy to he rude but I would have offered to help wrap it since I have a long drive home and want to make sure my items stay intact. I actually had a few other customers help me to my car because he didn't offer to even bag my items. He just kept reminding me they are closing.... another customer who apparently used to work there came out to my car to apologize for the workers behavior at how rude he was to me. A little customer service goes a long ways. He was on the phone when we walked in complaining about all his closing duties. I get it, i do we all want to go home, but sometimes you just have a job to do.
On a positive note the booths were darling and I love supporting my fellow antique collectors. It gave me a sense of thrifting back east. I will be back to shop I just hope I am met with a little better...
Read moreFirst time here about a year ago (May2018). That's when google maps said they were open but we discovered after a long drive they were not open in May. Only open from June thru November. At that time I gave one star.
Now we are back in Utah, so we took a drive to Cedar City to see if the antique shop was open. Yep, it is June and the shop is open. I was not overly impressed. The place is much smaller than I expected; perhaps 30 vendor spots inside the building. It's a good place to shop for a gift. I was hoping for...
