In a nutshell, My husband picked a beautiful ring for me from the Kay Jewelers in Waterloo. After a year I started loosing diamonds out of it randomly. I had it fixed multiple times. I had just gotten it back a WEEK before our wedding, wore it 1 time and the SAME diamond had fallen out again! I called Waterloo and they told me to send it in and I would have it back in 3 weeks. I was given 2 options- Send it in and have no ring or get married with a broken ring. Not an ounce of sympathy that I wouldnât have my ring for our WEDDING. I kept the ring, got married, and sent it in when it was all over. Sadly I had to explain to so many ppl why my diamond was missing. Fast forward, I have had it 12 years and it has been sent in at least 1x every 3 months. Every time I took it to Waterloo the service was HORRIBLE. Ive witnessed staff applying make up using the mirrors on the counters for CUSTOMERS use, Ive had to listen to the staff talk about personal stories and having to wait for them to finish their stories before they even acknowledge me standing there, I have nothing but rude comments made to me that âits my fault and lack of responsibilityâ that my ring keeps breaking. Horrible. I happen to be in Cedar Falls one day and stopped by the Kays there. It was a WHOLE NEW WORLD! They listened to my stories, and solved my problem without hesitation. They took their time helping me figure out what my options were and truly cared. I will NEVER go back to the Waterloo Kays! I am so GRATEFUL for the staff in Cedar falls they are AMAZING! Keep...
Read moreMy significant other and I picked out her engagement ring at a different Kay and was very happy with the experience. So we decided it was time to purchase my wedding band.
We walked into the store and were greeted nicely by the person at the counter. From there it went down hill pretty quickly. We were in the store for about 10 minuets and Iâve never been so turned off by customer service. There was another couple in front of the wedding band case (which was more than fine since we were not in a rush). I was then directed over to the computer and was shown 6 options on a very dated computer. The designs were nothing of what was shown to us at the last Kay location.
One of the two representatives started talking on the phone while looking at items in the ordering book. I asked if there were any other options than what was on the screen when the representative just shrugged. Itâs hard to pick a ring hat youâre going to wear for the rest of your life when you feel like youâre being a bother.
We will be going to a different Kay location in order to use our Kay Rewards points. Not thrilled with...
Read moreStopped in to get the battery replaced in my Seiko watch before going to Target next door. Like a dummy, I waited for 45 min. as others were there before me and I had the time. The sales lady did replace the battery but I declined the offer to join the Free Battery Replacement for Life Club for $25. Fast forward 3 weeks, the replacement battery was died. Iâm pretty sure she gave me someoneâ elseâs old battery for the $16 I paid. I wonder if anyone else in or out of the battery club has had the same results I did. I will never set foot in this store again for any reason! There is no reason this person should be employed to provide any type of customer service here or any where else. Even if your job is boring treating customers with respect is your job. Making them wait so they browse is ridiculous when you donât have enough staff to help more than one customer at a time anyway. F.Y.I: This was way before the...
