Michaels — Local services in Cedar Falls

Sometimes Michael's will surprise you with what they have that the big-box home improvement stores don't. In this case, a particular type of heavy duty staples with different measurements than the other brands. Dritz is a brand I wasn't familiar with, and the crown of their staples measures 11.11 mm, or .4375 inches. The guy at Staples, the office supply store, could tell me as soon as he saw the stapler that they didn't carry that line, and the guy at Menards showed me their lines of staples, which likewise didn't match, but he gave me a helpful hint, resulting in a Google search. Apparently the stapler I had (my daughter in law's) was not used for construction, but for crafts, and craft stores were the only places that carried staple refills. A trip across the southern edge of Waterloo brought me to Michaels, and my search ended with success. I love it when everything...

I feel like this years Easter selection is not at all what it has been in the past years. I don’t know if the fact that Hobby Lobby has an enormous selection for Easter has stopped them from even trying but then I feel like they go above and beyond for Halloween when Hobby Lobby doesn’t. Was very disappointed with how little they had to offer for this year. Even St Patti’s Day there was more to pick from than Easter this year. But staff are great for me all the time and super helpful and usually will radio for help if they can’t answer your questions! The manager there (I believe she is the one with dark brown hair if not manager than supervisor maybe?) always is very knowledgeable and will help you find everything you need and has the best attitude the entire time talking to you! She’s for sure the best sales associate I’ve seen in a long time and great...

Waited at check out for a few minutes while workers were all around, just not at check out. Then when two clerks walked up one answered the phone then asked the other clerk, Julia about the issue and Julia clearly had an attitude. Then she looked at me and rolled her eyes and snatched my purchase out of my hands and slammed it on the counter and rushed through the "do you want to apply for membership" spill. And didn't tell me she was ready for me to insert the card. So when I asked her if she was ready she rudly replied "ya". When I got in my vehicle to pull out, I saw her run to get in a passenger side of a blue small suv slammed the door and took off. SO SHE WAS RUDE TO ME BC SHE WAS READY TO LEAVE.... The girl in frames with short hair was really nice! And gave me great info. I wish I wouldve seen...
