My friend and I came to Ihop just yesterday since we were in the mood for their pancakes. Our waitress, Amber G, it says on the recipt sat us fairly quickly which we were thankful for since we assumed it would be a wait. But that thankfulness disappeared when she put is in a corner that was almost invisible to her, that she herself admitted to forgetting about us quite a few times. She took our drink orders without writing them down before heading back into the kitchen. She sat multiple people after us and even got said people their food and drinks before she came back. She then comes back with the tablet to take our orders, having said she forgot what we got for drinks. We were frustrated but hungry so we gave our orders and re ordered our drinks. It took about 30-40 minutes for that alone. Well she kept seating new people and giving them their food and beverages before we even got our drinks. It took an hour and 30 minutes for us to get our drinks, only after I had walked up to her asking where our food and drinks were. She only said "It's in the kitchen" before walking past me like a dismissal. I just told her we wanted our drinks, since my friend and I were going to get our drinks so we could pay and leave. She says "I'll get your food in a minute." In a slightly irritated tone before I repeated "I just want our drinks." She then goes "Oh. I'll get those right now." It took an hour and a half to get a cup of dr.pepper and water. Our food comes out 15-20 minutes later and it's cold. Fully cold, no warmth. She didn't check on us at all and we just tried to eat as much food as possible as not to waste money. It really sucks because we were in such a good mood for ihop just for it to be ruined like this. She only prioritized us after everyone else was gone and it felt a bit discriminatory because me and my friend were younger (17/19). Our meal was half off but that still doesn't account for everything else. I hope nobody else has this kind of problem again but honestly, I won't be coming here...
Read moreWe were a little worried walking in as the sign on the door said they were short staffed and to expect a wait time. Finals week in a college town, hardly a surprise. We weren't in a hurry so we just went with it. There were several tables sat but even more that were empty, dirty, waiting to be cleared. Several of the seats didn't look to be in good shape either. Didn't easecour worries. However, we got seated within just a couple minutes by the host and the waitress came to take our order not long after that. She was friendly and mentioned our shake might take a bit longer than usual. We ordered an appetizer sampler as one entree and the breakfast sampler as our second. The strawberry milk shake when it came got good reviews, good flavor with lots of real strawberries in it and came with plenty of whip cream on top. The onion rings were weirdly large and unnaturally shaped but the mozzarella sticks and chicken strips looked as expected. They might have been a tad on the done side but they were crispy and still tasted fine. My college age picky eater even took the left overs home which means she liked them well enough. The breakfast sampler was also great. Over easy eggs perfectly done. Hash browns, though I'd have preferred a slightly larger serving size, were hot and crispy outside but soft and fluffy inside just the way I like them. Bacon also on the crisper side without being over done. The sausage links weren't anything special but not overly spicy either. The ham, again smaller portion sizes than I usually see, was cooked well without being dried out and rounded out the sampler nicely. We stuck with the plain pancakes and enjoyed them with the plenty of butter and syrup that came with. Overall, I might avoid this during busy colleges times like homecoming, family weekend and finals week/breaks but outside of that, we'd definitely plan to...
Read moreVisited 6pm Sun eve by myself. Host seated me immediately but Iit took 20 mins to be waited on and that was only because I got up from my table and walked over to find somebody to ask to be waited on. Waiter was young, no personality and made me feel I was a bother .... hmmmm, I am a paying customer. Oh well, finally finishing my order, it took another 20 mins to get my food. By this time I had been in the restaurant 40 mins before I was able to eat. I eat slow and enjoy the food while I'm checking my emails. I was halfway thru when waiter put check on my table... he said no rush paying... well 10 mins later he came back asking if there's anything else I needed and I said no but thanks. I continued eating although felt rushed. Went to pay and stood there forever, had to go back to kitchen to let them know there were people out there who want to pay their bill. Afford another 5 mins, finally paid in cash and he was expecting the $20 bill to include his tip!! I told him no, the $4.50 is the change you owe me, your tip is on the table! I tip according to how well I'm treated when I dine out and this was horrible. HIRE MORE STAFF AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE HAPPY TO SEE...
